Pre ST won/loss predictions

Recommended Posts

I will change to 104 losses. While I think Fulmer, Iggy, and Cast will have good seasons, all three of them are most likely to be gone by August 1. If they are here for the duration, then maybe we are looking at a 96 loss team.

Our team can be "Miggy and 7 dwarfs" when they are in the field.

(or make that "dwarves" if you are a Tolkien fan)

My prediction is 58-104.  I'm still worried about the health of Miggy, V-Mart, Zimmermann, and Iglesias.  I think there will be another fire sale at the deadline that includes Greene, Liriano and possibly Iglesias, Castellanos and Fulmer.  I'm also not sold on Martin at the leadoff spot and I think it'll take Gardenhire too long to remove him from that role.

It's encouraging how some of these players have performed in Spring Training, but it's a long season.

Anything over 70 wins will be a bonus.  This team is going to have trouble scoring runs.........and trouble keeping the other team from scoring runs.  :(

Considering the Tigers play 38 of their 162 games against the White Sox and Royals .. figure they should play .500 in those game (19-19.)

That leaves 124 games.  A .333 percentage in those = 42-82.

Overall .. that will leave them at about .. 61-101.
