Well I'm an idiot.  I thought he was an all star this season.  I guess it ain't 3 years ago anymore.

Doubtful everyone gets their physical in by tomorrow night.

Detroit is going to be really short handed.

I did not see this coming.  At all.

Ditto. This is from about as far in left field as the monuments in old Yankee stadium.

I'm guessing Blake Griffin is the only superstar who was available that didn't have a no trade clause.

Is Griffin really a superstar or has the league cooled on him a little bit?  It he is a franchise player, then I think this is win for the Pistons.

 Define superstar?

He isn't LeBron, KD, Harden, Steph, or Kawhi. But he's in that next group probably.

the simpler question is just "Is he healthy?" He is a heII of a player, when he plays. He immediately becomes the best player on the Pistons by far  - when he plays.

So does this group include Westbrook, Giannis, Anthony Davis, and Chris Paul?  Then the trade is definitely worth the risk.

Plus if it even somewhat works out, it will be nice to have the Pistons on people's radar again.

No. Those guys are better than Griffin.

Blake can score in crunch time and get to the line.

2 things this team has been abysmal at.

And he averages as many assists as Reggie Jackson.  Maybe he can be our point guard.

Would love to be a fly on the wall when SVG explains the offense to Griffin.

We run two plays, Blake.

Pass it around the perimeter for 20 seconds. First guy with a foot of separation on his defender, shoot it.

Second one is tricky so pay attention. Run next to Andre and he will hand you the ball. You shoot it.

He's absolutely a superstar when healthy but that's the thing, he's never healthy.
