My early money is on Harris - she has broader experience than Gillibrand or Warren and as an ex-prosecutor she has the best insulation against right side attack and she is tough without coming across like your 4th grade teacher (a al Hillary or even Warren to some degree).  I'd just as soon see Warren stay in the Senate and chair the Senate finance committee for the round of economic reforms.

The two most likely candidates I see emerging at this moment are Biden or Harris. The fact that the knives are out for both of them is a signal to me.

The knives are clearly out for Biden at the moment, but I believe that is both a fear of their pragmatism by the left of the party and equally as much about the fact that other candidates view him as the strongest candidate in the field should he jump in. Same for Harris, who is already in the race.

This is all subject to change of course. We dont know who else will jump in or consider a run. I just think that in a race that will feature a lot of open primaries and is unlikely to see a credible Republican challenge to Trump, that will lead a lot of moderate and independent folks to participate in the Democratic primaries, which may hinder more leftist candidates.

I've been wrong before tho, so who knows

Why is the Willie Brown thing a controversy?

Browns are not supposed do things like that.

Couldn’t this administration post ads on Craigslist or something?

 Pure incompetence

To be fair, there are few sane-minded individuals who will want to hire into this administration in any capacity. The MAGA movement is in part about trolling government, and they’ve managed to destroy a lot of faith in it.

Kamala Harris for President. She just gets it.

I think she knows what she is doing.  I believe she will do well in a campaign.  When I first saw her last year, she didn't seem that energetic, but she be charismatic when she wants to be.

Some people work hard to get influential jobs. Some people get there via other means.

So the messaging from MAGA land regarding Harris is she’s a ****. The irony is thick.

Kinda like how The Donald landed his job at The Trump Organization, amirite?

(In b4 "Oh, totally not the same, Fred made him work for it")

On another note, the idea that people dont move up in the workforce through contacts and relationships is incredibly out of touch.

In the field of engineering that I work in, connections and relationships are probably the most common way that people switch jobs or move up. My company literally *begs* people to invite their friends to apply for jobs on LinkedIn.

I was thinking like how Jared and Ivanka landed their positions, but this works too.

Her rhetorical skills are impressive , and she already appears to have a staff working for her that knows how to craft soundbite worthy lines. Who knows what mis-steps she may take or if her management skills are up to a national compaign, but she is off to a running start. 20K plus at her kick-off rally and that doesn't count a lot more there that couldn't get in.

I'm worried about a California liberal originally from San Francisco in a national election. I don't know how she will do in the Midwest.

She grew up in Berkeley when her parents were grad students(=poor), went to high school in Montreal  and undergrad at Howard (DC). Law school was in SF. Plenty of liberal there, but not that much SF except law school - which is its own world no matter where it happens to be.
