That's as pathetic an offensive showing from a Michigan team as you'll find.

then why do they keep putting him back there?

Gallon 2.0.    He was so bad until he wasn't.

Is Harbaugh doesn't beat the big two next year he should be fired.

Gahhhhh...the slide short of the 1st down and the lousy downfield shot on 4th down to end it.

Peters just morphed into JOK today.

harbaugh's first season was him making lemonade out if lemons.

harbaugh's second season was underachievement.

harbaugh's third season was bad.  bad coaching.  bad qb play.  bad games against good teams.

harbaugh has a great track record as a coach so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but this season is really putting that faith to the test.

At least we don't have to spend the next eight months hearing how good Peters is.

That Peters slide said it all. No awareness, no sense of urgency.

He was JOK with a slightly better arm.

Peters didn’t have to light the world on fire today to be considered in the mix for next year. But a total implosion? That completely changes things. I think that actually puts him back at number 3 for next year.

Agreed.  It's hard to understand how a guy with his QB/HC pedigree oversees two QBs in JOK and Peters who each have massive big game implosions in the same season.

Wow, way to blow the perfect B1G bowl season, Michigan.

South Carolina is as mediocre as it gets.

Harbaugh sucks.

Stolen from elsewhere......

If they lose, Michigan is about to go 9-8 in their past 17 games. 5 losses Michigan got over conservative in the 2nd half. 1 loss they got over aggressive with JOK in the rain. 6 losses due to questionable coaching in 17 games.

At least they were ranked #7 in the country in the middle of that streak for some inexplicable reason.

With JOK, it's pure lack of talent. I can completely excuse that one. There's only so much you can do with a guy who doesn't have the aptitude.

With Peters? The guy was coming off of a concussion, so there's that. But he didn't look overly sure of himself before the concussion, and he looked completely pathetic in this game. This is a 4 star recruit? This is the 5th best pro style QB in his recruiting class? Freshman or not, you have that pedigree, you have to seize your opportunities. Because this could be the last one he gets. McCaffrey got raves on the scout team and we are now bringing in another guy who is probably better than both of them.

The fact remains, freshmen make impacts all over college football every year, so while we were at #3 on the QB depth chart, it wasn't like it would have been a shock to see Peters do moderately well. But two top Harbaugh recruits absolutely stunk it up today and were instrumental in blowing a 16 point lead to what is pretty much a middle of the pack team. If we didn't have the defense we have, we would have lost by at least 2 touchdowns.

Quite honestly, they need to look very hard at this team and figure out who's a player and who isn't.

That is revisionist history.

Over the course of the season, Michigan's skill positions have turned over massively.  This in no way resembles the team that started the season in Arlington.

Speight-JOK--Peters

Evans-Isaac-Higdon

Black-DPJ

Eubanks wasnt a starter, but was a valuable weapon that was never replaced.

With kind of incontinuity it is no shock the team turned into a mess.

they werent a good team before that.

dpj and peters got worse as the year went on.  the oline never improved.  and in the end, the defense got shredded in the 4th quarter in the last three games of the season.

there is nothing positive about this season.  yes, i thought they would lose 4 games, but i never expected them to play like that against a bad south carolina team.

next year's schedule is brutal, but if patterson can play they need to win 10 games or else it might be time to question the coaching staff.
