down to -9 now.

if michigan can get some turnovers they can win this game.  penn state is overrated.

speaking of penn state, can we go back to the joe paterno thread and find all the people who said penn state would never be back?

the ncaa missed a chance to end the horrible hypocrisy of the oenn state football program and they didnt.  too bad.

Penn State has a better offense than Michigan State but it's also more aggressive, so there will be more of a chance for turnovers. I think getting a couple turnovers is the first key--not only to keep Penn State under 20, but to help get some points via field position and, if we're lucky, a defensive td.

Second key will be running the ball effectively, even if it means sticking with it if it starts off slowly. I think Michigan will be run-heavy, but I also think they will take their shots on the rare occasions they do throw it, which running 70% of the time will set up. Hopefully the right side can pass protect enough when they do, and hopefully O'Korn doesn't miss a big play if it's there.

Play calling will be big. They will need to pick their spots to take shots downfield. Maybe some packages where short passes are there to keep the defense guessing on short yardage situations.

I think PSU will stack the box to start and force OKorn to complete some passes. If we are looking at a lot of third and three, I don’t know that we can get those yards on the ground.

I'm guessing that the D will hold PSUs offense in reasonable check, so the deciding factors will be mistakes (TOs, penalties) then the running game/possession clock.

My guess is that if Michigan can get 150+ yds rushing they will be competitive, 175+ yds and it's a win as long as they don't kill themselves with TOs/penalties.

Amen. I sure don’t like OSU or MSU, but in the end it’s just the teams on the field I really dislike. PSU as an institution is a joke and they should have had it all torn down. I absolutely hate the school and it’s embarrassing to see them act as if all is good. This wasn’t paying players, improper recruiting tactics, or coaches making calls to escort services. They don’t deserve anything good.

Beat them.

Give the points and bet it all on PSU.  -9.5 is a steal.

I took your advice and bet my house.  TY for the tip.

You can't sleep on my couch if you're wrong.

It's down to -7.5 now.  I couldn't resist that.

Are there NCAA rules about the teams having to wear different color pants? I figure there is but I don’t know.

Tennessee and Alabama both are wearing white pants right now.  They do have a red/orange stripe down the leg, so maybe thats enough of a difference?  I really have no clue.

Michigan's white pants have a blue and gold stripe don't they?

I like the return of the maize pants. I don't mind the all white look, but the norm should be how it looks tonight.

Damn.  My back up plan is gone now.

I think this will be closer than most think.

Perhaps even similar to the game I just watched from EL.

Low scoring and ugly.

LJ Scott just selfishly scored a TD.

I doubt anyone warned him of them letting him score....plus I'm happy MSU covered the -7
