It seems like the Pistons should do this, no? Only one year left on his deal and this is probably the best they would get for Andre.

I would do it in a second but I don't see the motivation for LAC.

I can almost guarantee that if Drummond is traded he will become a beast.

I don't see Drummond ever becoming a beast.  He simply doesn't have the personality to do so.  He is a sourpuss.

Drummond's just happy to be in the NBA and getting paid huge amounts of money.  He lacks the inner drive to evolve his game to championship status, and I doubt that ever changes.

Said it during the Cleveland playoff series before he even signed the max deal.

DON'T DO IT!

And we did. And here we are.

If Paul and Griffin stay, Drummond would thrive in LA.

4th or 5th option with a world class PG.  One of the best PF's drawing defenses away from him, a couple of shooters for floor space.  Drummond would murder people in the PnR in that environment.

Agreed.  Drummond would be part of the supporting cast on a championship team, and needs others to make him a better player.  I'm not sure giving a player fitting that description a max deal is a smart move.

Maxing Andre was always premised on the mythical player he was going to be. But Andre came into the league as a 0.15 WS/48-21 PER player and 5 yrs later is still exactly a 0.15 WS/48 - 21 PER player. In fact the lack of any trend at all in those numbers over 5yrs has been remarkable.

Yeah, I think so. Drummond and Jordan are only a few million apart.

Send them Reggie too. I would take back Beverley and Williams.

Yes and yes. Let's get SVG on the phone and get this deal done.

I'm reading this Paul trade makes it more likely Griffin stays.

People are saying he hated Paul.

Takes that, State Farm!
