I'm not sure which comes off worse: that someone would keep a record of twelve-year old posts to show up another internet poster, or that someone would dig through twelve years of internet posts to score a point on a message board.

This. 12 years...12!

False.  I've never said anything on here that...but when you're searching ignore the falling:

all Ebron related posts

Anything regarding Mayhew, boring

Definitely nothing to see with Aaron Donald

ive gone back to some old threads thinking that i made some brilliant observation that i can use to make myself feel smart only to discover that not only was i completely unbrilliant, but i also really liked mark sanchez. and darko.  and austin jackson.  and edwin jackson.  and ben gordon.

you just have to own it.  own it like i own the butt fumble.

We have a damn good QB developer though.

Again though, I'm sure they'll stash Kaaya the way they stashed Rudock and make a decision if they have to. I don't think you let him walk away for free if you value him at all, that's all I know

That's the thing Rudock and Kaaya have little value. If Kaaya can't beat out Rudock for the backup QB there is really no sense holding on to him. Either way the Lions are done if Stafford is injured.

Who do you consider a good QB developer? Caldwell? Stafford looked awful under Lombardi. Cooter? He seems OK but has limited coaching resume.

None of these guys are Belichick, not even close. I think the odds of the Player cut developing into a useful player is far higher than either backup QB. I understand there is a premium paid for QB, but neither will never amount to much. Both have limited arm strength, amongst other flaws.

Exactly when ESPN "retired" the clip, I was against it. Sanchez still can't find a decent job! Had to go to work for the bottom Bears.

Caldwell. Belichick is the man. Not sure if he focuses on QB a ton though.

I never really like Kaaya much, but they bothered to take him. We shall see

Ryan Fitzpatrick will end up as the Lions backup QB.  Kayaa and Rudock will be released.

Blount signed with the Eagles. Tion Green the UDFA I think has a shot at winning a job.

We should have taken the flyer on Blount. We need a short yardage and goaline back. With this offensive line too, the guy could potentially be a short yardage, touchdown machine as he was last year in New England. Oh well.

My money's on Rudock as the back-up.

i doubt the lions spend the money to get an expensive backup qb unless stafford gets hurt in preseason.

I felt the same way. We've sucked at those scenarios seemingly my entire life.

Do most teams carry a third QB on the roster? I forget the rule for the emergency QB. Can that guy be one from the practice squad?

I would lean toward keeping the QB on the 53 man roster because you never know what kind of value they could have down the line. That potential value is far less likely to come from the guy who would otherwise be on the team.

The lions took a risk last year when rudock went on waivers but he cleared and signed with them of course. No guarantee that the same would happen this year for the third QB b

I was wondering the same thing. It would surprise me if they let either of the young QBs slip away. Quinn sees these late round QB selections as assets that may appreciate in value with proper coaching. They haven't finished polishing Rudock yet, and haven't started on Kaaya.

A lot of of it will be about how both guys look in camp and preseason too.

I think it's a lock that the Lions will carry three this year.
