Apparently no one is having issues with ammo.  So have they hit all the outposts or are there more they have yet to get to?  Was the 50 cal changing spots a sign that Dwight was found out and they broke him to spill the beans or is this all a set up by Negan?

I like how Daryl is straight up killing fools.

Morgan is off the reservation...just a nice reminder of that this week.

I am pretty fed up with this group helping those who are purposely trying to sabotage them.  It is the most annoying aspect of the show and I think the writers think it is the most endearing.  They are wrong...at least in my eyes they are.  The only possible exception to that in this episode was when Rick gave the kid his word, got the info then Daryl shot him.

I was annoyed at the time they spent on Eric...they forced a love story into 2 minutes then expected us to care that he got smoked.

Two minute love story? They've been together as long as they've been on the show.

It was a side story where they show them together for a minute or 2 every 5th episode.  I did not care.  Maybe I am just a bad person, but they did not spend enough time building up that relationship for me to care.  The back and forth before he died was forced.  I KNEW what was going to happen about 30 seconds into all the back and forth looks between them.  The acting between the 2 was not very convincing either.  That probably has more to do with it than anything.  Especially Ross Marquand who plays Aaron.  He was not believable one bit in those scenes.

So the only interesting thing that happened last night was Rick seeing a helicopter.  What a boring episode.

I viewed that as a hallucination.

I will say the episodes have been a lot more watchable this season.  I find myself not as aggravated and bored.

We got some tidbits about Negan's past which did line up somewhat with what i heard in the comics, I don't think I'm giving anything away from the comics.  There was more but that's as far as they go on the show.

Two things:

1) the whole thing about getting the big gun contradicts their disregard of wasting ammo.

2) Thinking of last week's episode... once again another community is destroyed due to Rick.  He's responsible for probably 10,000 deaths so far.

I am not sure your second point is fair.  He got mixed up with the saviors because of the hilltop.  They needed what the Hilltop had, cows, food etc.  The saviors were a threat to them and they tried to take them out.  Negan can spout off all he wants about how Rick caused Glenn and Abraham to die, but it is all bullspit.  Negan killed them in cold blood.  No matter his rationale.

No community should be forced to live they way they were living...in fear of the saviors.  Every community Rick has come across that was destroyed deserved to be destroyed.  The Kingdom is not completely gone.  Casualties of war and it was Ezekiels choice to join them.

The Negan/Gabriele thing was beyond ridiculous.  Gabriel grabbed his gun tried to take him out, missed then decides to partner up with him...everything felt off with that episode to me.

I'm thinking about the Kingdom when I made my comment.  A whole sustainable community is now gone because of Rick's plan.  Sure Ezekial's at fault too..... but within the overall context of the show i think it is interesting to look at this show from another view and look at Rick as the bad guy.  For example look at Morales.  What's he supposed to do?  He sees some guy from the very beginning.... why should he revert back to loyalty to Rick?  I think that's an overall subject for the series.  Who is good and who is bad?  It's not clear cut.

I think the people who are trying to do that are just looking for an interesting angle.  It is pretty clear cut to me because you always see the motivations of the leaders of these groups.  Rick basically wants to be left alone to try and grow and prosper in a good community, but keeps running into people who have bad motivations.

Negan is going around bullying smaller groups to do his bidding for fear of death and he does not provide anything in return.  Every group Rick has come across is in some way a bad group and not the way you want a new society to start off.

Herschels Farm?  Good people.  Rick does what he can to bring them all together.

Phil?  Bad dude.  Really bad dude.  Had to be taken out and was and the good people in his crew Rick took in and tried to take care of.

Terminus?  Bad people.  Needed to be taken out and were.

Hospital in Atlanta?  Rick left them be after getting his people back.

Wolves?  Bad dudes.  Needed to be taken out and were.

Hilltop?  Good people.  Rick tried working with them.

Alexandria?  Good people.  Rick tries working with them and making it better for them.

Kingdom?  Good people.  Rick tries making it better for them by taking Negan out so they can live a better life.

We see the show from his view point and it is a PAW so of course we are going to see death and destruction everywhere.  It will most likely follow him until he dies and the show is over.  That does not mean he is the cause of it.

damn, was one of my favorites in a while. I loved Negan and Gabriel and the stuff with the saviors power structure.

Tons of gray on this show. Rick is not one of those things or characters that are morally gray IMO. I mean, he's a flawed human, but I"ve never questioned his moral compass and I don't see selfish motivations most of the time, if ever(and it would only be looking out for his family really)

Yes, from our window into him, but view him from someone in that world who comes across him.

Refresh my memory, maybe I am remembering it wrong, but when they found Jesus what did they initially do?

Gabriel being sick is another interesting thing that happened.  Him telling Eugene that they need to get the Dr to Maggie for some reason.  Gabriel is sick and he is thinking of Maggie?  Why?  Something they shared or something he knows about a new plague or something?  You would think a guy as sick as he appeared to be would be asking for the Dr for himself.

The helicopter continues to intrigue me.  I have a love for helicopters to begin with...going so far as to look into becoming a pilot for one...also it ties back in to one of the original movies that got me into zombies to begin with.  Day of the Dead...the opening scene in the original Day of The Dead.  Dawn of the Dead was one of the first for me...., but I think I may have liked Day even more...I just wish they left the smart zombie out of it....I hated that part...anyway I digress.

Helicopter...you have to have one in a world like that and I am glad they are incorporating another one.  I am assuming they are going to show some footage of the first episode where Rick sees one in Atlanta...maybe from the helicopters view point to tie it all in...or maybe not.  Who knows.  I am intrigued by it though because in my mind there is nothing better in a PAW than a helicopter.  Hopefully this one will not simply crash and burn like the one Andrea and Michonne saw just before Phil killed the guys who were flying it after it crashed.

The thiird sighting of one in the show.  Hopefully this one actually becomes a part of the show.  That would open things up a bit.

The helicopter is fake... watch.

Remember, the other helicopter was what led to the horde of walkers to go towards Herschel's farm wasn't it?  Then they are close by and hear the gunshot that killed Shane and change directions towards the farmhouse.

yeah but I think they tried to kill him.  Then he led them to the Hilltop.  He said "Your world is about to get a whole lot bigger"

ah ya, I was thinking of when Aaron and the other guy found them.

I think Rick has changed as the new world demanded, but I don't think he's been particularly selfish, foolish or cruel.

Jesus bumped into Rick to steal the keys to the truck and then stole the truck first. They caught up with him when he got a flat. Didn't kill him, left him on the side of the road. He got up on the roof when they drove away. Still didn't kill him.

I'm getting angry at myself for not being able to quit this show the way I did with that Fear trash.  There has been plenty of action this season, but it's largely pointless. The stakes each week seem very very small, since you know nothing of significance will happen to any named characters until the end of the season. Rick with the garbage pail people? He'll be fine. Carl in the woods by himself, looking for the stranger? No problem. Tara, Michonne, Carol and Daryl freelancing? Ho-hum...

This show desperately needs a jolt, that I don't think is coming...

This is simply 'all out war' with Negan.  Trying to dethrone him and his groupies.  Trying to make the world a better place.  I do not think there is going to be any big payoff...unless it is simply to introduce a new community after Negan is defeated.  Which I am assuming is this season.  My god I hope they do not try to milk 2 seasons out of Negan like they did with Phil.

An interesting tid bit...at least to me anyway.  When I first heard about this turning into a show in 2009 or so I knew of the comic, but never read it.  I was a regular on a zombie message board so they all knew the story.  Anyway it was weird to hear Kirkman on one of the Talking Dead episodes talk about how while the TV show was airing he was writing Ezekiels character and that part of the story.  I always assumed we were still far away from where the comics were...as in Kirkman had already had the Kingdom timeline done before the TV series even filmed.

Apparently we are not as far back as I would have thought.  I wonder how much of what Kirkman is doing now is being looked over by the TV people to make sure it is going in a direction they think they can sell.  Or maybe Kirkman is keeping full control.  I know his comment about Ezekiel and Shiva was along the lines of 'well I knew the TV guys were going to be pissed wondering how they were going to bring Shiva to life, but I just went with it'...so maybe he is maintaining full control.

Just an interesting side discussion because there has not been much exciting happening lately...at least not IMO.  I yearn for end of season 4 and season 5.  Those were some of the better episodes of the show.

The top show, “The Walking Dead,” bounced back a little from its six-year low the previous week. It scored a 3.6 in adults 18-49, up 0.2, and 8.28 million viewers, an improvement on the 7.85 million from the prior week. “Talking Dead” (1.3) also rose two tenths of a point.

I would think the comics are independent of the TV show.  I wouldn't think any consideration is given to how it would play out on TV.  They will work around it if necessary.

They filmed a scene from Fear the walking dead literally a block from my house. How cool is that?

Not at all? That show sucks.

What happened to the Dad?  I noticed he’s not in the credits anymore. I quit watching Fear after season 2 I think.  There was a big fire or something.
