Michigan Basketball: Wilson, Wagner Will Test NBA Waters

Neither one will hire an agent.  So they can still return to school.

DraftExpress still doesn't have either listed in the top 60.  And their mock was updated today.

Does the mock make any assumptions about who will ultimately be in the draft?

wilson at least has been in 30s for projected draft slot recently.

Right now it's just a list of the top 60 prospects.

If a kid says he's returning to school he is removed.

Wilson could be a late first IMO.  He checks a lot of boxes for a GM looking to grab another long shooter that can handle a little and play three positions.

wilson will have to get a lot stronger to defend 3 positions in the nba.

Notice I didn't say defend three positions.

Wilson and Wagner are both players who absolutely need another season in college, but if they get first round pick money they're set for life so I can't blame them if it happens

I don't think they will grade out high enough to justify jumping to the pros this year. I hope that is the case, and that they return and improve their draft stock. Unless they get rock solid top 20 projections, there is nothing to lose by returning to school. Even if they somehow take a step back they could still go to Europe and make a living (and get out of this horrible country with evil airlines and soda commercials in the process).

Don't forget about evil trial lawyers, gotta escape them as well.

It is smart Wilson and Wagner are testing the water.  I would imagine they will get some really good feedback that can help them improve their game next season during this process.

That type of projection should get then an invite to the draft combine.

They are allowed to participate and return to college still if they want.

I saw some stat that I'm too lazy to look up because it's funnier just believing it's true, that Michigan has actually had more players drafted than MSU since Beilein took over. Not sure if this is a sign of how good of a coach Izzo is, or how brilliant he is at tricking players into staying around until they rape someone or graduate.

players rarely get better at state.  players almost always get better at michigan these days.  state recruits more five star players but beilein teaches them to shoot, izzo teaches them to beat the **** out of you and then cry to the refs.

The Knicks and Ball deserve one another, I hope it happens.

If he's gone, Philip could just draft Balls dad.
