Pasztor and Dunlap are your options in Free agency. I'd be good with bringing one in as insurance, to keep Lucas off the field.

You say anything just for the sake of saying something.

or left tackle...

There are no left tackles worth the trouble.  Dahl would get a boost in value if he does a good job here.  I think he can handle it, at least the pass blocking.

Such a bummer about Decker.  It was starting to look like we finally put together a great OL and now this happens.  Hopefully there will be a cap casualty that will come along that can help us.

Pasztor was not awful for the Browns last year and is better than Lucas. He is an option to sign. Dahl is much better suited at Guard and I don't think he can handle LT. I expect the Lions to bring someone in at tackle and Dunlap and Pasztor are the best options. Robinson and Norton are also going to get a look. Robinson is probably the starter. Pasztor also plays Guard so if you are moving Dahl over to Tackle you need another guard as Lang is still recovering from injury himself.

So I think it's relevant, even if you the Strategy expert thinks it's not.

This is a big big disaster. You are looking at Robinson who can't stay healthy. Then either Lucas who is one of the worse NFL tackles I have ever seen. The alternative is Dahl who is much better suited at Guard.  LT is probably the 2nd most important position on a NFL team.

That last part is a huge myth, but at the same time Decker is a legitimately huge loss

Damn, Decker is arguably the Lions most important player outside of Stafford.  Just when the O-Line starts to shape up, this happens.  It's just so Lions.

Man, ya all some negative nancies.  It isn't that bad.  Find a guy that can pass block decently and we are fine.

This has nothing to do with so Lions, teams get season ending injuries before the season starts every year.

plenty of those guys out there, they just all happen to be under contract with other teams.

decker is a big loss.  hopefully this is just a short term thing and nothing permanent.

It's a big loss, I'm sure even Stafford would say so.   It's not going to cripple the season necessarily but for a team that has such a small margin for error as is, losing their staple at LT is a tough one.

I knew you would but I think most would agree that the Lions roster is pretty average compared to the rest of the league so any key injury was going to sting especially at one of the more important positions.  Not counting them out but it will be an uphill battle for them next season.

We were one of 12 teams to make the playoffs last year and have improved this off-season.  Seems to me that us above average compared to the rest of the league.

you are obviously unfamilair with TP's work.  the lions would be 15-1 or 16-0 every year were it not for the blatant bias every official in the league has against them.

Wait, what's the one game they deserved to lose?

They start the season playing teams ranked 1, 14, 16, 5, and 2 for sacks last year (in that order). Without Decker, a 2-3 start would be fortunate.

I think the Lions will be a better team overall, but will have less wins than last year.

I read somewhere (I can't recall where) that December would be the earliest.

4 to 6 months so December sounds roughly right. Torn Labrum is not a quick injury he can come back from before it is fully healed. I would guess it taking closer to 6 months than 4, as I have seen this injuries recovery time listed from 4 to 8 months.

Since they can now designate two players to come back from IR, he should be placed on IR.  Best case scenario is that Dahl could handle the position.  If not, we have some major problems.
