You worship him like a cult leader.  He can do no wrong in your eyes.

I don't worship any human being. He's human, he most certainly can do wrong, he has done wrong and he will do wrong again. I don't really understand what is so hard to understand about that. I've been quite clear on that. But if you want me to write it 50,000 times, so be it. I'll correct you every time.

Now that we have the cult leader crap out of the way.....It just so happens his policies have been terrific for the country and the economy is on fire. So I welcome him crushing whatever lightweight comes out of the other side this year. Those are some big time nut jobs over there. We're on a roll and need to stay on a roll.

You worship him.  You make excuses for every stupid thing he does and says.  It's hilarious.

As someone that can so clearly see both sides, can you explain Romney's vote?  Obviously as a previous republican nominee he certainly wants to continue the conservative policy, but i'd love to know your level and even thoughts of him.

The lemonade in this lemon is that Trump can't simply call for an election right now, as he could in parliamentary system. It may look to some right now like the Democrats could never possibly get their **** together, but remember that nine months is a long time in Trumptime, and a lot, I mean a lot, is going to happen between now and then, and not all of it accruing to his benefit.

None of this contemplates extraordinary activity like hacking election machines or anything else that would undermine a free and fair election, but just a reminder that the current state of affairs is not permanent.

the 'distress' within a party always looks a lost worse than it is during this stage of a national primary - esp right at the peak of the  winnowing out phase when candidates are getting desperate to keep failing campaigns alive. Still, Carville is right, they all need to be campaigning against Trump 1st and each other secondarily - esp since it's pretty clear from all the polling that 'can you beat Trump' is probably the most important thing to the majority of Democratic primary voters. I think right now the best thing you can do to persuaded Dems is showing them you know how to do best against Trump.

Even Better

LOL - Probably like a lot of Euros, as he ages his real skin is getting transparent (like Biden's) and he's too vain to wear his age. And he's probably too cheap to hire a better makeup artist!  I also like the way his facial features are receding, but that is just his weight climbing.

I was thinking about this when I was hearing Bernie and Biden criticizing Buttigieg's experience as insufficient during last night's debate. What happens if Buttigieg wins the nomination and the question come to them as to whether they endorse him? If they do, then the very words they used against him in February can show up in a Trump ad in November. Seems to me they should dial down the internecine squabbling for that exact reason but, hey, what do I know about party politics, right?

By "economic mess", Trump meant he wasn't getting a taste.

I already said this in an earlier post, but I'll expand on it here. Romney knew his vote wasn't going to tip the balance. So he decided to use it as revenge in his war against the president. Mitt wouldn't have the fortitude to cast that same vote if it was an actual nail biter, where his vote would have tipped the balance. He saw an opening to try to hurt Trump, so he took it. It was personal and petty. He knew he wouldn't have to face the voters for 4 years and he decided to make it personal. In that regard, he's just like his father, so we shouldn't be surprised. Self absorbed and petty.

Mitt and John McCain are actually the two votes I regret most in my lifetime. After having witnessed both of their careers, while I thought they would be better than the alternative at the time, I'm not so sure anymore. Mitt has proven to be only about one person- himself. Between the times he has wined and dined the president (when he wanted a job in the cabinet and then again when he wanted the senate endorsement), all he has done is criticize Trump on everything. He's proven to be a turncoat 3 times now. He is pretty much a man without a party at this point, so I hope he enjoys his next 4 years. God knows Trump will find an alternate candidate to primary him with when it comes to that. Honestly he may not care because he will be 76 by then and may hang it up.

This post is absolutely hilarious.  Everything you said about Romney is a description of Trump.

Romney is the worst type of politician. One that will stab anyone in his party in the back, including the president, if it serves his own self interests. Just like George Romney.

Again you are describing Trump including the part about having a horrible father.   In post after post you keep describing Trump while trying to talk about somebody else.

Don't look now, but Mitt is the only one in the party on the outside looking in right now.

Nothing -other than their minor children- is off limits anymore based on what the democrats have pulled on Trump.

We haven't even begun to see scorched earth yet.

I don't give a **** about Romney or the Republican party.  I am only amused that all the stuff you say about Romney is a lot more true about Trump.
