Huge disappointment.

No idea wtf was up with that 2 pointer though. Sure, it likely didn't matter, but geez......

My guess is Dantonio wanted to make the score as close as possible so UM will go down in the polls.

OSU having another hard day against NW. Just scored to get the lead back in the 4th. The difference between OSU and UM right now is that OSUs offense is playing better in 4th quarters - of course they have had to....

I'd say our defense has been better

they got shredded on the ground pretty well today. But to me the biggest disappointment was the inability of the O to get a couple of 1st downs in the 4th an put the game away. Right side of line just not gonna be real solid the rest of the way.

Of course one thing the media never talks about is that this was Mid-terms week at UM (I think MSU's academic sched is different). Most people don't think that matters, but over the years I have seen UM lay a lot of eggs on mid-term weekend.

FSU down 2 with a minute left at the Clemson 30 yr line, takes two false starts and two sacks and never gets the try for the winning FG. Clemson and Washington still undefeated but Nebraska goes down to Wisconson

Some of it was just Harbaugh playing the clock game, being predictable.  When the game mattered, they went on a 30-3 run.  Don't let the last few garbage minutes change your opinion. The offense was extremely efficient when needed.

My biggest complaint, or question, is WTH is up with the Shane Morris ****?? Keep him off of the field JH.  Disaster waiting to happen.

Harbaugh has to be setting up something for Morris against OSU or a bowl game.  No other reason.

This is my thinking as well.  A quick slant.  They're not expecting Morris to throw.

I think the same applies to Peppers on offense, who is hardly ever used as a decoy.  I expect Harbaugh to be as creative as we've seen come OSU.

In no way was that game a disappoint, how can that even be possible?

I got less than I wanted. THat's pretty much the definition of disappointment, no?

Yes, I'm happy for the win and am moving on, fwiw.

After 7/8 and last year's BS though, I wanted a slaughter. A putting of little brother back in his place. Instead, while they clearly controlled the game as the better team, they played one of their worst games IMO.

It is amazing how an average football team can bring a very good football team down closer to their level when the referees don't call obvious holding penalties on the offensive line and defensive backs.  Sam Webb speaks about this with no filter on this at the Michigan Scout site if you have a membership.

I am pretty sure I've never seen him speak out after a game on the officiating quite like that, and to be sure, he is usually pretty objective when it comes to matters of execution and game play.  Not that Darboh doesn't enjoy making one-handed catches, but I'm sure he would prefer State's defensive backs give him the option of using two hands.

I wanted a curb stomping, too, but I was pretty happy with Michigan's play overall.  They definitely need a better effort from the OL against OSU, IMO, or Speight will never finish that game.

One of the best things to come out of this game--Kenny Allen winning B1G ST player of the week.  Nothing wrong with a confidence boost for your specialist heading into the stretch run.

This game wasn't as close as the score indicated. Sure, it would have been great to win by three touchdowns but they completely folded things up after the first drive of the second half ended in the interception and they got the goal line stand. At that point enough time was gone that they didn't need to do anything else except run the clock out.

Yes, it would have been nice if Sparta wasn't able to move the ball after that, but they had some help from the refs and a couple bad missed tackles.

Whatever. Michigan was in complete control the whole game. It was annoying as the second half was unfolding, that is true.

The holding was bad.
