Illinois vs. #3 Michigan - 10/22/16

It's pretty much teed up for Michigan now. Although I think there are several possible "trap" games on their schedule before OSU.

It's cool to see OSU lose but this really doesn't effect Michigan at all.  Unless OSU loses again Either way they have to win in Columbus if they want to play in the Big 10 championship and have a shot at the playoff.  If anything it may hurt them a tad because now if they lose in Columbus the loss won't look as good as it would if it was an unbeaten Ohio State team.

I think it probably helps actually. If Michigan wants to play in the conference championship they have to win at osu (unless osu somehow loses another game before Michigan plays them). If they lose in Columbus it doesn't matter how the loss looks. They won't get in one of the last 4 slots at that point anyway, so it's kind of irrelevant. Lose at osu and we get a nice bowl but not an important nice bowl.
