J Wilson having problems again. 2 on, no out. Brad - you are not obligated to lose the game just because one guy isn't sharp.

If he allows Wilson to lose this game without taking him out, he should be fired on the spot

he's got one out, but he's already at 20 pitches for the inning.

4 batters have reached, he's at already thrown too many pitches for one reliever in one inning. This is just managerial malpractice.

I'd stick with Wilson, he's throwing strikes,

he *was* throwing strikes. though he did just get a gift from the ump.

OK, He's got two but he's at 28 pitches - and finally Brad let's him sit down.

Not too concerned about 28 pitches for a reliever.

The 2nd out was big, I think that made Brad more likely to put in KRod. 4-out save is better than 5.

Bad thing is even if we get out of it, they turned the lineup over big time.

Hopefully this means no more arbitrary 1 IP limit for KRod (cough cough Toronto game cough cough).

Until he blows it in the 9th. It takes numerous occurrences to change convention but only one to go back to convention.

I'm watching the last couple innings on MLB.tv. I sure am glad I know that this thing turns out OK, because I might be having a heart attack. Nice win. A win is a win is a win.

Maybe this is weird, but I gained a lot more confidence in Justin Wilson than if he had a clean inning. Pitched beautifully under pressure. Errors happen, lucky hits happen, often in bunches. I didn't see how the men reached base, I was loosely following it on gameday, but he did a great job hanging in there and pitching through it. At least it looked nice from Gameday.

Actually I see now that krod came in for the last out. Good move by Brad.
