Fenway 11 Posted April 7, 2016 As a Bruins fan I fully expect you to clinch tonight. Hope it is a good game. I am a MOD on the Bruins board on HF and our fans are not happy campers.
Shelton 1,371 Posted April 7, 2016 Obviously a win tonight and they clinch. That would be ideal. However, assuming a regulation loss, what needs to happen for the wings to still get in?

Fenway 11 Posted April 7, 2016 Wings beat either Boston or Rangers in regulation you are in. Boston can only catch you with 2 Bruins wins in regulation and 2 Wings loses in regulation - but if Boston wins 2 and you beat NYR in a shootout then the Bruins clinch. lordstanley 628 Posted April 7, 2016 Remember guys, most of the people cheering for the Bruins also cheered for this. So got to put the dagger in tonight.

Trashill? Zetterturd? - really! I really like HFBoards, it's one of my go to sites, but man some of the posters are more emotional than kindergarteners.

lordstanley 628 Posted April 7, 2016 IF the Wings do clinch tonight, I'll openly cheer for the Bruins to steal the final wildcard from the Flyers. 1) Philly fans are the worst; 2) don't need to hear all summer about the superior oh-so-tough Metro teams sending 5 teams to the playoffs over the Atlantic's 3; 3) I love Gostisbehere but that's it and 4) well, Bill Burr can explain ... lordstanley 628 Posted April 7, 2016 I'll take Biggs' word for it! I found out last week I need cataract surgery (at the ripe old age of 48) so everything on the ice is a bit of a blur to me. Sometimes I see 2 pucks, sometimes I see none - I guess that means on average I see 1 puck, so I'm fine.

However, assuming a regulation loss, what needs to happen for the wings to still get in? In addition to Boston-related scenarios in the event the Wings lose tonight, if the Wings get 0 points the rest of the way (so including a regulation loss to NYR) they could still get in if Philly (vs. Toronto, vs. PIttsburgh, at NYI) goes no better than 1W 2L the rest of the way.
