FYI - swear words don't seem to be censored yet.

Does this mean we can finally get a hard core porn thread going?

I really love gif avatars and the avatars being a bit bigger.

Thanks for getting us going again here MWG!

I'm not a fan of the Gif avatars, looks too myspacey for me.

I think I agree with this. But it's probably just because I'm not used to it.

I also don't like how so many people changed their avatar from what it was before. Obviously they change over time, but the all at once aspect of it has made it more noticeable.

If you read the thread in the activity feed like I do you can click on the time that shows the last post as a link to take you to the last comment in that thread as opposed to clicking on the title of the thread and going to the first page.

Or you can click the little blue circle/star and it will take you directly to the newest post that you haven't read.

A little too close to the thread title for my liking, but it is another way to go.

It also works by clicking the "2 minutes ago" on the far right side of any of the main board views.

I think clicking the little blue circle or star will take you to the last message you saw and the clicking the time button on the far right will take you to the very last post in that thread so it looks like Biffs idea is probably better.  I like to pick up right where I left off.

How bout a cancel button for when you decide you don't want to post or reply, and a preview button as well.  Maybe not possible, but liked that from the old board.

But overall, the new board is nice.  Thumbs up so far.

Yes, it does not appear to be easy to discard a post after writing it up but changing your mind about posting. If you just leave the thread without posting it, it will stay in the reply box when you return to the thread later.

I found that out, and it confused the h e double hockey stick out of me.  Where did that come from?  Oh, I wrote that.  Kind of like the "restore saved content" on roids.  You can delete it so there is that.

I had the same problem yesterday.  I think that I ended up hitting Ctrl+Z a bunch of times until I was back to pre-composition.

It will also keep it even if you try to reply to someone else, and prevents you from quoting the person you want to quote.  Hope that makes sense.

ctrl-A (or probably command-A for those with Macs), then backspace. Should take care of it right quick.

That still leaves the box formatting, but erases the text.
