Better Call Saul Season 2

Recommended Posts

Premiers tonight!

I've been re-watching season 1 the last few days on Netflix.

I'm mildly in love with his friend Kim. She's not your standard "hollywood" beautiful, on the show anyhow, but she does it for me! Good looks, beautiful eyes, and brains. And I'm not usually into older women. I was surprised to see that she's going to be 44 in May.

Anyhow, really can't wait to see what happens to Jimmy this season.

It's the suits.... my wife is a therapist and wears scrubs.... sometimes i wish she were a business professional.

I finally finished up a few weeks ago. Had been sitting on the final 2 episodes since the season ended.

I like the choice Jimmy made at the end of last night's episode. Will be the interesing to see when and how he blew up even after that.

This show is so fun to watch. It's more than enjoyment... I feel SAFE when I watch it it. Like, I have implicit trust for the creators of the show, that they will make great decisions and craft every episode with love.

Shelton thread/Kim scold.

Yeah, great premier. I thought the bit at the end with the light switch was a bit cheesy and unnecessary. We already know he's not a guy who is going to follow rules. But whatever. Chuck's character seems a bit useless at this point also. I wonder if we'll see much of him this season?

I also don't get the storyline of the goofy guy with the Hummer. I'm sure Mike will probably go back to work with him but I don't like that character at all. Maybe he'll end up being friends with Gus and introducing Mike to him?

The Talking Saul was good. I watched the first 20 minutes of it. One idea of the show they floated was that it would be a 30 minute comedy with one case per week... like a murder she wrote.

Odenkirk said people come up to him wondering when we get to see him become Saul and he pointed out that what's fun about this show is not only do we have the mystery of what happens to him leading up to Breaking Bad's Saul Goodman.... but with the Omaha/Gene scenes we also have the mystery of how he ended up there. Adding that 2nd teaser like that was great because it shows that it's something they are considering and it wasn't just a bone they threw at us to start the series.

Yes. You know they are going to give us an actual ending to the story when this all wraps up. What's fun is that the main body of this show is obviously BCS, but anytime we see future/Omaha stuff, I feel like we're getting bonus minutes of Breaking Bad.

According to the aftershow, the stockbroker guy in the bar was the same person that got his car burned up by Walter White at the gas station.

I've been trying to think who that guy was. I knew he was familiar.

I did not remember the character from breaking bad, but it's been like 5 years or more since I saw the first season.

Of course, I recognize the actor from some of the other things he has been in, so I didn't even consider whether I should be recognizing him from breaking bad.

A lot happened in that first episode. I still do not fully understand Jimmies motivation. He like scamming people...that really seems to be it. He had a cushy job all set up due to his own hard work and he is going to **** it up. He almost did it on purpose. MAYBE he just wanted to see if he could get Kim without the cushy job and once that happened he decided to see where it took him by taking the job.

I find it weird how they sometimes make a character as weird as the IT guy. I am sure there are plenty of people like that out there, but a car like that? Matching shoes and watch, but still wearing khakis? It brings a weirdness factor to it. And what was with the cops? They figured out right away that he was dealing drugs because of the car and a not disturbed coach?

It wasn't that the couch wasn't disturbed. It was that the couch had clearly been disturbed and was put back. There was a "snow angel" type pattern in the mess on the floor from the couch being pulled away from the wall.

It was a combination of things:

the over the top expensive car for a guy living in a tiny ranch

The fact that he said cash had been stolen

The suspicious mark on the floor from the couch

And of course the resulting hidden stash area that they discovered from all that.

I think that if the dude was driving a civic and he didn't mention that cash had been stolen, the cops probably don't even notice the pattern on the floor.

Given his nerdiness, his wardrobe and his focus on a baseball card collection, I suspect he's a SABR.

She's lawyer hot. As in, she's hot compared to 95% of the lawyers I work with.

Pretty much. I'd guess she is hotter than 90%+ of the women in offices across America.

Yes, Chuck plays a MAJOR part in this season as Jimmy and Chuck will end up opposing each other on a case.

And the bit with the nerdy IT guy - I think is to show how good Mike's intuition is. Like when he didn't bring a gun to the first deal - because he did his research. And how he knows not to tangle with someone driving a car like that because it only draws attention. I have a feeling Mike is gonna kill that guy because of a believe he'll talk to the cops. But Mike will be dealing with Nacho a time or two and definitely Tuco this season.

Well, he's lost twice - at least.
