Mr. Bigglesworth 3,205 Posted October 8, 2015 Milt Cuyler was better than a hockey net.One guarded by a Maple Leaf goalie or not?I need to know how used the net in question is.
Charles Liston 993 Posted October 9, 2015 To clarify, he's better than a road hockey net. Probably mended by somebody's dad. He's not better than a standard 4 * 6 NHL hockey net.
BoomGaspar 81 Posted October 9, 2015 Today's Tiger birthdays (10/9): None. Not a one. In their 115 year history, the Tigers have never fielded a player born on October 9. Further, there were no players from the old Detroit Wolverines of the 1800s born on October 9.

Charles Liston 993 Posted October 10, 2015 There's something really interesting about the pictures of Weaver, Riebe, Eisenstat, and Stone - the "D" on their hats.
Oblong 2,154 Posted October 10, 2015 I remember eisenstat from the final game ceremonies. He walked out while most of the others were in a cart. It was a special sight...

BoomGaspar 81 Posted October 14, 2015 Today's Tiger birthdays (10/14): Erik Sabel (41), Vincent Maney (129, 1 game in 1912, died 1952).Erik Sabel appeared in one game for the 2002 Tigers, pitching against the Indians in Cleveland. He faced two batters, surrendering a home run to current Tigers coach Omar Vizquel and a double to Ellis Burks. Burks came around to score on a Jim Thome single, saddling Sabel with a Tigers ERA of infinity. Vincent Maney played one career game in major league baseball - as a replacement player on May 18, 1912, when the Tigers went on strike to protest the suspension of Ty Cobb for attacking a heckler in the stands. Maney actually managed to reach base once via a walk, giving him a career batting average of .000 but an on base percentage of .500.
