Ok, got my gf with me, this is her first year making a prediction. The likelihood here is that she does better than me, due to less Kool-Aid consumed in her lifetime. Anyway, here are our picks:

Week 1 @ Chargers: Me W, Her L (she says 1 score game)

Week 2 @ Vikings: Me L, Her W

Week 3 Broncos: Me W, Her L

Week 4 @ Seahawks: Me L, Her L

Week 5 Cardinals: Me W, Her L

Week 6 Bears: Me W, Her W

Week 7 Vikings: Me L, Her W (we always lose 1 at home we should win)

Week 8 Chiefs: Me W, Her W

Week 9 BYE

Week 10 @ Packers: Me W, Her L

Week 11 Raiders: Me W, Her W

Week 12 Eagles: Me W, Her W (no way Bradford is still playing at this point)

Week 13 Packers: Me W, Her W

Week 14 @ Rams: Me W, Her W

Week 15 @ Saints: Me W, Her L (she says we kill ourselves with penalties in this one)

Week 16 49ers: Me W, Her W

Week 17 @ Bears: Me L, Her W (I want to believe we don't do this, but...)

So that puts me at 12-4 (which seems unreasonably high, I believe 11-5 is far more likely, but don't know which game we'll lose, probably KC or St. Louis) and puts her at 10-6 (she says we're gonna just miss the playoffs.) Now that this is written down, I'm sure she'll rub it in my face at year's end when she's right and I'm wrong.

I think we could be anywhere from 9-7 to 13-3. I'm having a tough time with the individual games though. Put up or shut up time.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm going to attempt a game-by-game and I'm sure I'll come up with something ridiculous. Without doing that yet, I say 10-6, but a better chance to win a playoff game this year.

I can't quite believe it came to this, but I say 12-4, with wins the last seven weeks. I'm pretty sure by week 8, this'll be blown to hell, but I gotta stick with it.

I just don't know what to expect from this team. It seems when we don't expect it, they go to the playoffs and when we expect a good year it ends up being 5-11. But the Packers have suffered a lot of injuries in the preseason, the Lions need to take advantage of that and step on their necks and climb over them and win the division. I don't think losing Suh will be as bad as many do - especially if Ngata stays healthy. We have no idea how good the defense will be because we haven't seen it all as one unit yet.....and we won't until the season opener.............I don't think the Los Angeles Chargers are all that good.

As a Lions fan, I have predicted a Super Bowl win for the Lions for the past 20+ years and then the seasons started and my predictions went down the toilet.

Hard to take too much from preseason especially consider the toilets they have played against, but the offense looks really sharp. I thnk the 2nd year in Lombardi's system should give Stafford a much higher comfort level and with some explosiveness out of the backfield with Abdullah, that should help keep some heat off the passing game.

I think the defense takes a sizeable step back, I'd be awfully surprised if they don't, but the offense should make up for that drop off. I originally thought this would be a 8-8, 9-7 team and that could certainly still be the case but looking at the schedule, I can see a 10-6 or 11-5 finish. It's very manageable especially after the first 4.

14-1-1, wildcard game loss.

Now this is a bold prediction! Not only are you proposing that we'll only lose one game, but that we'll only lose one game and still end up playing in the wildcard round (and that we'll lose the game!) That would mean that you're predicting that two NFC teams would finish with a better record than 14-1-1. That beats the pants off Cruzer calling the Super Bowl win!

I am predicting the Packers go 15-0-1.

So we lose the division at 14-1-1. Got it. I think that's still quite bold, but it makes more sense. I don't see the Pack being able to pull that off, but stranger things have happened. To us. :/

Anyone in here wanna do Fantasy Football? Got the league started up already (draft this Sunday) with 5 of us Morons already signed up...

The Lions will have enough wins to reach a wildcard playoff game, so I'll say nine or ten wins.

The idea of playing Fantasy always felt like splitting my loyalties. I'm too dumb to manage that. I want the Lions to win or no one to win (unless they're playing the Pack.) I do not want to win if the Lions lose.

I think I would be lost without fantasy football on Sundays. Everything done by 12:15, then set up my laptop and fantasy tracker while I watch the Lions on one TV and Redzone on the other.
