Taijuan Walker 7-6 4.34 ERA

The hard-throwing 22-year-old has been on point his past seven starts (6-1, 1.68 ERA with three walks and 51 strikeouts). He's gone 27 1/3 innings without a walk after opening the season 1-5 with a 7.33 ERA with 23 walks in nine games.

It looks cut and dried that the Tigers are the underdogs in this game, so they will probably somehow pull a rabbit out of the hat and win.

The offense is not the problem. Do whatever it takes to get 1 quality starter and 1 quality BP arm and we can win the division.

Holy crap, I didn't realize Walker has been that good lately.

Sounds like he is due for a stinker.

Bad pitcher vs Good pitcher on the road

BUT

the Tigers have JD Martinez who will probably go 5-5 with 5 dingers, so I'll say 5-4 win

Sadly none of those dingers will come with RISP.

As long as someone is on first, I'd be okay with that

For the gamblers or anyone else interested the Tigers' past 17 games have gone over the total. An original $10 bet doubled down and bet over during this streak would have netted $690,000 so far.

Just not a good RBI guy.

This literally made me lol.

As far as this game goes, I'm looking forward to seeing Walker. I've been hearing about him for what seems like 10 years now and I have never actually watched him.

A pattern or a solid launch pad?

Kinsler will have 3 ab with RISP tonight. (had two)

Simon gives up 5 in 5-2/3. (exact)

Yoenis makes 2 errors

Tigers win 8-6.

And I swear I had "nick goes deep" typed out but didn't want to sound like a homer and switched it to Yoenis committing two errors.

That was last night's predictions. Tonight?

Alex gets beaned in the wrist.

Brad is ejected. Maybe in the 4th.

Ryan gives us a much-needed 7 innings, giving up 3 (2 earned).

Gose hits a triple and a single.

Tigers lose 5-2.
