Game 74: Hawks @ Pistons

Recommended Posts

Nobody is talking much about Schroeder yet, but he's having a pretty nice year as Teague's backup.

I hope Drummond comes to play tonight, he'll have his hands full.

I wonder if ATL will rest any guys coming off a game last night

1 seed is locked up

They sat their entire starting 5 Saturday vs Charlotte on Saturday.

They looked good last night, Korver had 11 points in 65 seconds, but for the most part they have looked bored and/or uninterested the past few weeks.

Them and the Cavs appear to be on a collision course with Rose out. Even if healthy and playing he isn't the same so I don't see the Bulls beating either one.

I think the Hawks beat the Cavs in a 7 game series with their defense.

9 Assists for Jackson in his first 12 min, not bad for a guy ESPN tabbed as the 25th best PG in the L.

There are not 24 point guards in the NBA better than him. Lol

52-50 pistons at half. Dinwiddie rolled an ankle.

So I got to watch about two minutes of the game on NBA TV, just in time to watch a KCP board ball three attempt followed by a Drummond trip to the stripe.

Airball, left and short. Bad miss left on the second.

All the announcers wanted to talk about was Korver and how bad Drummond was at the line, awesome.

Lucas looked awful running point.

Jackson shooting over 50% from three last five games (33.3% as a Piston) with double-digit assists six of the last eight games without Drummond . . . nine assists in each of the other two.

Jackson is obviously sick. Really showing at times. 12 points and 11 dimes though.

And only 2 TO, right at a 4:1 A:TO over last five.

Are the Hawks resigning here? All five starters have played 24 minutes, is that the min they can play without getting fined in a zero-leverage situation like this?

Edit: Daye just entered the game, so the answer to my first question has been answered.

Prince has really been solid. Not what he used to be but I would definitely take him over Butler at this point.

JL III might be worth a vet minimum deal this summer with Jennings' health questions and Dinwiddie's youth.

I would think they could save a few hundred thousand going real cheap in that slot with a rookie or DLeague breakout type.

Would be shocked to see Jennings back.

Jennings will play basketball next season. I think the Pistons should hold on to him and see what they get. It's only a one year deal. Jackson/Dinwiddie with JL III as insurance is fine by me
