1-0 Sharks in the first. The Wings just standing around on defense. I swear there was a point where they started to go into a PK box while at full strength. San Jose might score 5 or 6 if the Wings don't wake up.

San Jose doing the same thing to the Wings that the Kings did: playing very aggressive on defense and pushing them around. It appears to be working. I wouldn't mind seeing a Red Wing pick a fight just for the hell of it. But this is the new NHL, so that's right out.

But whose gonna fight? Ericsson? Good luck

And one of the very few moments where Detroit has pressure in the Sharks zone, and they take a penalty. Awesome.

I would just stay with the current roster because I don't think theres any move they could make that would improve this team enough to win the cup this year. Keep building for the future. Let these kids mature to the point that they become truly serious contenders.

Who cares? Put your team on edge. They look like they're just going through the motions right now.

1-0 Sharks after 1. Just turned on the game so have no idea how it has gone, but 14-4 SOGS in favour of San Jose can't be good.

I feel like it's been worse than that stat indicates.

After a brief few minutes of energy to start the 2nd, the Wings are now running around and making stupid passes again.

2-1 Sharks after 2. Can't believe the Wings didn't tie it in the final 2 minutes, they had 4 or 5 really good chances. Wings outshot the Sharks 18-6 in that period.

It's gonna be up to Howard to steal this game.

Nevermind. Howard with a total softie soon after the Wings tied it up, and Niemi is now in the process of stealing the game for SJ, stopping a flurry of great opportunities at the end of the 2nd.

Feel free to start sucking anytime now, Niemi. He's keeping the Sharks up, the Wings have been all over them. A 4-minute powerplay coming up for the Wings with 12:27 to go. Nyquist will tie it here.

As is too often the case, the team on the powerplay, in this case the Wings, has no sense of urgency the first half of the double minor.

Pulkkinen has had a few nice blasts tonight.
