2015 Draft thread

If davis, bennett, and rowe are there in round two who do you take?

I think i take davis.

I like Rowe too much to pass on him there. DT probably a bigger need, but Rowe is a much safer pick IMO and CB is a similar need.

I have a man crush on the guy in the end.

I love Bennett, but I'd guess they look for a DT who can 2 gap a bit more than him.

If the Lions have Rowe rated as a 1st rounder, do you advocate the Lions trading their 2016 1st for a top 5 pick in the 2nd if they have the chance to do so and get Rowe?

Just wanted to gauge responses to that idea/ possibility...

Certainly wouldn't bother me.

My case for Rowe:

Not only do I think he can become a good press-corner, but also a good center-fielder type FS.

I think that flexibility could mean alot to the Lions. He can cover both Mathis and Quin, and take over for either of them in 2016, but also allow the filling of the other position by the best candidate available, be it a CB or FS.

As for DT, I think they extend Ngata another two years, and use late round picks to develop rotational depth. So I would de-emphasize the need at that position, slightly, and advocate stocking up the secondary as a higher priority, for now...

Quin better not be gone in 2016

My ideal rest of the draft:

2nd round: Eric Rowe, CB/FS

3rd round: Jay Ajayi, RB

5th round: Tyeler Davison, DT

5th round: Leterrius Walton, DT

6th round: J.J. Nelson KR/ Punt Ret / WR

7th round: Gerod Holliman, SS

No, but if we get another Slay in 2016... by 2017 season the best alignment might be Slay/ other-Slay (needing a year of training/ acclimation) at CB and Rowe at FS. Flexibility for down the road is what I mean...

I'm starting to think another trade back might be best. Turn our 2nd into a 3rd and 4th, then don't be afraid to use a 4th and 5th to move up. Its the only way I can see us filling our 3 holes.

Do you take gregory if he falls to 23? Can he play de in a 4-3?

Not sure he's a Caldwell type. Being reported his missed three meetings with teams pre-draft.

He'll end up on the bengals.

I was dissapointed to come home and see that the Eagles took Eric Rowe. I think he could potentially be the best cornerback in this draft.
