So tomorrow's game starts at either 12:07p or 1:37p. Safe to assume game 5 starts at around 5:00-5:30 if KC & LA are still playing or 7:30-8:00 if KC has advanced?

The strategy for Baltimore is easy.

When facing Detroit pitchers take, take, take, take. Don't swing at the first two pitches no matter what. No, you won't score runs early, but you make the starter throw as many pitches as possible and get him out by the 7th.

If they do that........will Ivy League bring Joba into the game in the 8th? Would he dare?

If Price is right, that strategy won't work. He'll get to 0-2 or 1-2 on every batter and pitch a complete game. That's why he's such an excellent pickup for this team, he's a dominant workhorse ala 11/12 JV who gets your bullpen the day off they need.

Now he hasn't been that guy consistently for us. But that's why we traded for him. Today is the day to see if it paid off.

For those of you that say 2006 was the sweetest post season of this current run of success....looking at those pictures above, I got chills. That must mean you're right.

The only thing that will overshadow that season is a WS championship.

Do it now so I can stop feeling sorry for a billionaire!

This is unfortunately not w WSC caliber team. It's a team that has some good players and sporadically decent starting pitching. But it's bench, bullpen and manager suck badly. You can't suck that bad in key areas and expect a championship.

Well, see you all in February when that first photo of 1 pitcher and our 3rd string catcher show up to Lakeland early!

The Royals are doing pretty well with terrible hitters.

Why would you not want Don kelly and his career .982 DS OPS in a must win game?

If the Tigers are leading in the 8th, and Ausmus brings Joba in, the entire crowd should get up and turn their backs.

Price throws first pitch strikes and Delmon swings at everything. Smart move by Schowalter to start Delmon. Notice he did not do that with Verlander or Scherzer starting as they are not always around the plate. Nice to have a manager that adjusts game to game based on the situation and the talent of his players. Wish we had that. Really thought we would have when Ausmus ws hired. Got Leyland lite w/o the savvy.

2006 was amazing and I remember it like yesterday. Detroit was back on the baseball map. Maggs homer was an insane feeling. In 2004 we would kill for being .500...KILL for it. In 2014, the playoffs are a given, anything less than 100 wins in the reg season and a WS ring is a failure. How times change!
