I don't know where else to put this where people will see it, but Keith Olbermann's rant against Jeter worship is pretty funny. "Derek Jeter is not the greatest person in human history. He did not invent baseball. He did not discover electricity. He is not the greatest shortstop who ever lived."

Happy birthday Nate Cornejo. Career minor league K/BB of 2.15 and career major league K/BB of 0.90. Good times.

Detroit wins today and tomorrow night coupled with Kansas City losses tonight and tomorrow night set up the Friday night division clincher with PorCyllo on the mound.

If the Tigers win this afternoon the Royals will surely lose. If the Tigers lose the Royals will surely win.

Book that.

Happy Verday everyone!

The Tigers need to play a little small ball using their speed to score some runs in this one. Hopefully there will be some speed in the lineup.

Regarding Jeter...he's not an a-hole but according to some stuff I've read on Deadspin, he likes for women to .....investigate this.

Did Al Kaline have a good bye tour? I don't remember it if there was one. The one I first remember most was for Yaz.

Austin Jackson has a .551 ops with the Mariners.

And Price has a better FIP with the Tigers than with the Rays this year.

Another example of how crappy the win stat is. Price goes 8 2/3 and pitches great for the most part and gets a ND. Nathan comes in and gets one out and gets the win.
