Most teams would have handled Nathan the same way as Ausmus. On the other hand, I think Joba would already have been removed in the 8th inning role by quite a few teams with Al Al and now Soria as an option. Joba's been crap for a couple months in a row, has had a very up and down career and was a crap shoot coming into this year. I don't get why he's been able to keep his role regardless how bad he performs. His career track record is spotty.

At this point the only guy in the 'pen that I trust is Soria. Coke has been decent lately so I guess you have him as well. The rest are simply hot garbage. If we make the playoffs whoever is moved from the rotation had better be capable of pitching in high leverage situations, because the rest of these guys (Joba, Nathan especially) are terrible.

The one positive thing I can say is at least they aren't allowing HRs (only 2 in the last 30 days from guys other than Romine) lately.

I suppose Reed is worth a look since he has pitched OK for his 4 innings.

Stop walking people you morons!

I agree with this. Chamberlain is a bigger problem than Nathan and should be mopping up.

Honestly I haven't seen anything from Soria in his limited time here that inspires confidence in me. He seems to just be a pitch and pray guy since he's been here. He doesn't look anything like the pitcher I remember from KC. With that said though, he's got to be better than Nathan at this point.
