And to fit in this thread.....Rodney & Andrew Miller tied with 33   Soria @ 29   JWilson @ 24 and the highest current Tiger is Greene @ 20.  Benoit @ 18 Eggs but tied with 3 others for the broken egg lead with 11...

My guess is probably improving your use of leg drive/ground force (pushing off the back leg with more authority).

 That makes sense. That sounds like an overall body mechanics change that could really give someone more leverage to toss the ball faster.

I would guess that leg drive is the major mechanical factor, tho I would also guess that arm/torso coordination/mechanics, grip, conditioning/strength would all be significant factors too.

wearing your socks high reduces wind resistance to your lower legs, thus increasing your velocity and grit.
