2016 Presidential Election - Who will the nominees be? Make your prediction here.

Obama's mother would have spent a way shorter period in Kenya. Wasn't Cruz like 4 years old when they left Canada? We know Obama's mother and father were married in Hawaii in February of 1961. We know his mother was enrolled in college in September of 1961. Barack was born in August 1961. Basically she would have had to go to Kenya for the sole purpose of giving birth and then immediately come back. There is no record his mother was ever in Kenya. Now are you trying to say that some 6 months max in Kenya somehow makes Obama not a natural born citizen but years in Canada makes Cruz natural born?

Nope. As usual you don't bother actually looking anything up, just throw some crap on the wall and argue it.

I'm not "saying" any of this, I never said Obama had a birth problem. For me the Hawaiian newspaper announcement was definitive, and that was long before he released his birth certificate.

Now for what OTHERS were saying go take the time to read this and you'll maybe "get" the residency thing:

Since Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. was born in 1961, this newly discovered law involves Dunham’s age because she was only 18 at time of delivery! The law says:

”When one parent was a U.S. citizen and the other a foreign national, the U.S. citizen parent must have resided in the U.S. for a total of 10 years prior to birth of the child with FIVE of the years after the age of 14.” Stanley Ann Dunham did not meet requisite status according to blog discovery.

The difference between the two is in Obama's case the "birthers" are claiming there's malfeasance involved, as Obama says he was born in Hawaii and there's no question that someone born in Hawaii to a US citizen is eligible, correct? There's a birth certificate that says he was born in Hawaii. There's press clippings announcing the birth. The only way he wouldn't be eligible is if someone's lying about where he was born. Isn't that the argument? Has nothing to do with where he was born or who he was born to...

Cruz's situation is different in that nobody's questioning where he was born. It's about the application of the rule.

That's pretty much exactly it.

Actually, an amendment passed in 1972 repealed that requirement and was retroactive to 1952 so it only required two years after the age of 14.

What do you mean arguing Kenya? Even if he was born in Kenya, he would still be considered a natural born American.

Who are you arguing with? I never said he wasn't or wouldn't be.

The birther stuff? He handled it well didn't he?

Yes but also the NYT Article. I mean, it was pretty fact free in my opinion, he just stoned up to Trump way better than any of these guys have yet.

I liked Cavuto calling out Rubio for saying the president would take everyone's guns away.

Australia means that

Kasich, Jeb and Carson do nothing for me.

I am glad the debates are getting smaller so they can talk more.

I cannot for the life of me see how Trump leads any primaries unless democrat voters go to the polls for him.

With Bernie gaining on Hillary nationally I doubt we will see democrats trying to ruin the GOP primaries.

That leaves Rubio, Cruz and Christie as the only 3 I would consider voting for at this time (from the 7 up there).

I like Rubio the most. Cruz is decent. Christie is a moderate but I like the way he knows his positions even if they are moderate.

Cruz has owned the night and I have deep dislike for him. I root for Rubio but he had some weaker moments. Carson. Smh

Jeb has had good moments

Here comes Christie, trying to act like the adult in the room. I thought we'd gone one whole debate without this tired act.

Rubio should have just said..."go hug Jerry Jones"
