Anyone still following? I know the Michigan teams are all having down years, but Northern Illinois has a shot at another big bowl game. Bowling Green and Buffalo are having really good seasons thus far.

Toledo is solid. Some interesting mathcups coming down the stretch here.

I follow, but didn't start the thread this year because there just seemed to be a lack of interest in it. I'm sure CMU not being terribly good has something to do with it, but I now post more about those games on the student newspaper at Central. And even there I've probably made maybe 20 posts this year.

NIU beat the Chips by a reasonable amount during our homecoming last weekend, but it was a competitive game for a good portion of the contest. I wasn't expecting CMU to beat the Huskies anyway, so it wasn't a huge crusher.

Central's big win so far this year was the Ohio U game, a contest they won in the waning seconds a couple of weekends ago. With the win, the Chips are set up to just beat the weak sisters of the poor in the MAC, get to 6-6 and probably make some idiotic bowl game against some other idiotic weak-conferenced 6-6 squad. But hey, I'll watch the game if it happens. I'm not beyond that.

The Chips look on the road to have a "push" season, very much like last year's season with little or no real progress made since last year. It's frustrating.

Buffalo is on a 5 game winning streak, their only losses are to #4 O$U and #6 Baylor on the road.

It's nice to see so far. Jeff Quinn was certainly on the hot seat coming into this year, it's the most talented team here in quite some time, certainly since 2008. They have Oliver the all time leading rusher, and Khalil Mack at LB who will be a first round pick.

It's been fun to watch, hopefully they can win the East. Last game of the season is against Bowling Green who is having a good season, and it'll be played in Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the Bills.

Toledo plays BG this weekend in a huge game. Any hopes Toledo has of winning the west division rest on this game and some help down the road.

As much as I hate NIU right now, they might run the table this year and get another shot at a big bowl. Nothing would please me more than for a MAC team to win a BCS bowl. Might never happen but I can hope.

Def pulling for Toledo to knock off BG this weekend, it'll help Buffalo a lot. UB heads to Kent in a very winnable game.

For those that have a fleeting interest, Central Michigan plays on ESPN 2 Wednesday night against Ball State. I think the game begins at 8 p.m.

NIU secures another trip to the MAC title game with their win over Toledo.

Buffalo and Bowling Green play on black Friday at Ralph Wilson Stadium home of the Bills, for what will be a winner take all game. Winner goes to Detroit to play NIU for the MAC title. Should be a great game, I'm certainly going to it.
