I like it when stuff develops naturally. A boston friend told me about gino at celtic games. They show an old clip from american bandstand during timeouts and a typical 70s guy with a shirt that said gino on it startes to get noticed. So it turned into gino time. That **** is funny to me. Youtube it.

Seems strange that he would be fired in the middle of the season. There has got to be more to this. If people got ketchup on their hotdog he would give them a hard time...........it was probably some jackhole that took him seriouisly.

I'm sure I'm alone on this one but I like Cleveland's drummer. That's dedication.

I actually don't mind the drum -- I wouldn't want to sit by it. The vuvuzelas make a horrific sound though and should be banned.

The hot dog singing a couple of times a game is no big deal, even though as a vocal afficionado I found Charley's style rather irritating.

This is the key. I don't like anything that is forced like when people try to come up with a nickname for a new player. It needs to just happen.

On May 27th of this year I was sitting in section 128 (or 129) and the Hot Dog guy was just below us a little ways. There was a TV girl or somebody trying to do an interview or something just above him about 10 rows. I think she was interviewing a fan or something.

Anyway, she was about to begin and the Hot Dog guys starts singing. She gets mad and yells at him to shut up. He stops and says "what?" She yells, shut up, I'm trying to make a living here. He said "so am I" and started singing again.

We busted up laughing. She didn't see the comedy, but many around us sure did.

Was it Shannon Hogan?

That's a tad arrogant. I bet this is one in a series of events that led to his "firing".

He was like that all the time... he worked sections where people pay good money to watch the game and vendors should not be about themselves and they should make every effort to not interfere with watching the game. When asked to move or hurry along he'd get smart with them. I'm surprised he lasted this long....

If I'm paying $4.50 for a hot dog I can put whatever the F*** I want on it. Don't give me an attitude when I ask for a ketchup packet. You just lost your 50 cent tip by doing so.

The Germans have this thing called curry wurst in which some of the most elegantly made sausages are cut up and served with ketchup mixed with curry powder. It's good. But some Roundhead idiot hotdog snob is going to tell me I can't eat that?

Why not. Tastes good.

That is twisted and wrong. I suppose you like burnt toast too.

I found out last week that Comerica Park has better hot dogs than Fenway Park. Not that either of them was very good, but the Fenway Frank was burnt and I couldn't open the mustard packet.

If we all liked the same things life would be boring.

Wait...you're saying you don't put ketchup on a hot dog? You don't put mustard, relish and ketchup on a hot dog? Who the F are you, the AntiChrist?

I found this guy irritating when I attended games in person. I found him extremely irritating when I'm listening to the games on the radio.

Only onions! Why temper the taste and aroma of fine beef?
