I love all matte helmets.

Probably depends on the helmet color, but it does look good for Minnesota. Bowling Green had orange all matte helmets tonight as well, and I thought those looked pretty sharp.

Those chrome things that were a bit of a rage the past few seasons are just terrible.

I'm yet to see a matte helmet I don't like.

I don't understand why they need to look plasticky and shiny.

IU's basketball team averaged 77 points a game. After one game their football team is averaging 73 points haha. B1G is off to a 2-0 start.

A good win by BGSU pulling away from what should be a good Tulsa team. BGSU had one back get 10 carries for 29 yards and 3 TD's.

FCS or 1-AA Towson upset U-Conn, who Michigan plays later this year.

Also, 1-AA Southern Utah upended South Alabama and Kent State barley beat Liberty.

Two great games with Utah holding off Utah State and Ole Miss coming back Vs Vandy.

I suppose this may be a the homer alumni in me, or maybe I have not had the required minimum of java for truly thoughtful pregame analysis, but....

Toledo defeats Florida in the swamp.

Louisville is going to be an interesting story all year long. They have a legitimate team with a Heisman contender at QB. Last season's win over Florida in the Sugar Bowl only helps strengthen their case. The big issue for them is a very very weak schedule. None of their opponents are currently ranked, and probably will not be ranked all season long. The only real threat I see on their schedule is Cincinnati, which is the last game of the season for them.

Louisville will be this year's Boise State, and could throw a huge wrench into the national championship conversation if they run the table.

They also weren't actually that good last year (lost to Syracuse and Conneticut. Struggled with UC, USF, Southern Miss and Rutgers) so it's reasonable to wonder how good they are this year. Bridgewater is awesome though and as long as he stays healthy they'll be heavy favorites in every game this year.

I'm looking forward to seeing potentially the last UC-Louisville game for a while and hoping UC can take the Keg of Nails and keep it for a while.
