Did anybody catch Meadows on a hot mike admitting to quid pro quo prefacing by saying he was off the record.

LOVE IT!

An acceptance of a pardon is an admission of guilt.

same twitter feed...

Possibly when the Supreme Court rules on the taxes...that will be a point of decision for Trump.

538 published the following regarding the 51%.

TL/DR version is the people who are on board with impeachment are following the inquiry closely, those who are not (be they entrenched Rs or undecided) are *not* following the inquiry closely.  Absent a bombshell, they speculate the numbers will not shift much.

Years of experience.

I have bipolar sibling and a lifetime of trying to understand her various actions, one comes to the conclusion that it isn't particularly helpful to try to rationally think about what she has done or predict what she will do because she is precisely irrational.

Not saying Donald is wholly irrational, but his motivations are not notably rooted in rationality.

The grinding down of the supporters manifests itself in a desire to watch anything else.  To be depressed by "the news" which means any news that isn't cheerleading for their team.  This is why prime time is the best time for the hearings.  They can't support something that is untenable.  When its no longer cool.

He's a malignant narcissist but he's a physical and moral coward.  He won't go with his guns blazing like others.

Its like choosing to not watch the Tigers anymore even though you still support them.

Damn, that probably hits a little too close to home for this observer.

Why does the distance apart on the earth matter?  The data is going up to a satellite and coming back down, right?

Trump is old and probably a bit deaf (it happens to us all). If he’s shouting into a phone, even if the person is wearing an earpiece, he can probably be heard. Especially if the guy at the other end is old and has the hearing capabilities of a 60 something
