I don't care as long as the Tigers win. I'll only get slightly worried if the lead gets down to 3 games.

1 game behind Texas. It's almost getting to the point where I'm not as concerned about winning the division as I am about home field in the ALDS.

It'd be nice to finish with 90 wins... It makes us look like a better division and team.... 84-89 wins to finish with isn't as great as getting over the 90 win hump...

To get to 90, we would need to go 17-13... The Rangers would need to go 15-13... The Indians, 25-8, and the White Sox 25-7... I think 90 is a good goal to set, and at the pace we have been setting, we could even beat that.

Now Hamilton went deep. 4-4. Weaver 4 ER and hasn't recorded an out yet in the 3rd. Don't know if Hamilton admired the HR.

Weaver's night .. 6 IP, 7 ER, 2 Ks .. 8 H, 4 BB -- wow!

Oh, and I love how people only mention ERA when they talk about Weaver v Verlander .. it's comical.

Seriously, forget the fact that Verlander leads the MAJORS in Ks, WHIP, and IP ........ along with wins.

Oh, and his 3rd in that ERA conversation:)

His 2.28 ERA and another loss (now 15-7) should take him outta Cy Young contention I would guess.

So does Sabathia have a chance at it? Not that he should, Justin is clearly has the superior numbers ... and a no-hitter to put the icing on the cake!

Weaver now with a 2.28 ERA I believe, which if correct is just a negligible lead over Verlander's 2.38.

Certainly a lot smaller than the difference in the park factors for this year. (1.01 vs 0.83)

Adam Dunn is historically bad this year

Thank you Ozzie! Pinch hit for a player with a .901 OPS in August and a HR today - insert Dud with a .449 OPS in August.
