In a similar thread a year or so ago, someone posted what I think is the definitive answer: Gary Busey. And now every time the subject comes up, that's the name that pops into my head.

Anecdotal. Never seen any proof of it.

But we have "proof" that they are bypassing McClendon and getting advice from VMart...

I doubt that could be considered 'proof'. Ball players routinely talk to one another about their swing. VMart made a good suggestion and he went with it.

I have seen guys in the club house mimicking a swing while sitting around talking.

You have no evidence they bypassed Lloyd. All Martinez did was suggest Avila use a heavier bat.

One word: Kirk Gibson. That's two words AND we'd have to tamper to get him.

Not necessarily, but we might have to give up something for him. Similar to Tampa getting Pinella from Seattle, basically in exchange for Randy Winn. I think there was a minor leaguer involved as well.

I don't know, he couldn't even manage his disciples. One of them betrayed him.

He should have called him out in the media for it. That's what Gardy would do.

We're complaining about hitters bypassing Lloyd than want to hire Jesus when Judas bypassed him for the chief priests.

Arizona has had the second easiest strength of schedule in all of baseball and have the same record as the Tigers who have had the 6th toughest schedule. Not sure why so many people are on the Gibson bandwaggon.

We should search Avila's locker and try to find thirty pieces of silver.

Wait, are you suggesting that Lloyd is the son of God?

You caught me. I wasn't sitting next to them with my iphone to video tape the exchange. Damn it, there goes my rouse.

Ya think that's why put proof in quotations?

If all Martinez did was suggest Avila use a heavier bat (what is YOUR evidence of this), then it should bring about questions as to why McClendon hasn't already gotten Avlia to try that? He's been working with Avilia for a year and a half prior to 2011. VMart was around like a month of ST and he already got Avila to make an adjustment that suddenly made him a better ballplayer. Thanks McClendon...

No I'm suggesting Jesus had the same issues Lloyd did. Subordinates bypassing him and being crucified for something that wasn't his fault.

You're just making a bunch of assumptions with no proof. In 2006 Curtis Granderson got advice from Matt Stairs and all of a sudden started finding his power stroke in the playoffs. That obviously means he bypassed Slaught. I mean, how come Slaught couldn't figure it out and Stairs was able to in a month?

If they were going to have the same issue, I wish it could be the whole zombie thing.

I wonder how heavy a bat Jesus uses?

I don't know but I bet he uses a lot of pine tar with holes in his hands and all.

I'll answer seriously: Matt Walbeck with Bruce Fields as the bench coach. Keep Knapp or get Cluck back. Bring up Leon Durham for the hitting coach. Get Larry Parish on the staff too.

I mostly agree with these statements.

I would have liked Gary Coleman as manager because he did have the Padres winning for awhile, but he's dead.

So I guess I'd have to go with Joe Madden, or if you wanted someone who isn't currently managing, Bob Brenly
