Anyone else wondering why Loy and McCann haven't signed?

Didn't think they were overslot? Thought Tigers didn't draft any good/expensive players this year.

Just an idea for next year... maybe you could add Rd# next to the overall #... That would save me at least, a lot of counting! :classic:

But College seniors usually sign early....and I don't think either were really overslot.

Neither McCann or Loy are college seniors.

In McCann's case, with an astute agent you recognize that you're the Tigers top pick and you can push it to the deadline for a bit more money, particularly when several outlets had you pegged as a high supplemental round talent before teams went crazy going after projectable high school kids.

With Loy, Texas kids frequently sign late and require a little more money to come out early....this isn't a surprising development at all.

If Gibson doesnt sign imo it will be a pretty disappointing haul before knowing how these guys pan out..

I wouldnt break the bank for McCann or Loy either. Id let them go back in the draft. I would go over slot for both for Loy like they went over slot with Westlake and a decent amount for McCann but nothing outrageous.

Can we get comp picks for these guys not signing?

I believe the system would grant us compensation for McCann (we'd get the second round pick back), but not Loy. I think compensation is only in place for the first three rounds. That being said, I'd be a little surprised if they don't sign both.

Pending he passes his physical, Loy expects to sign his contract later this week. #Longhorns

More natural baseball ability w/ the athleticism. Like him more. RT @63_DTiger: Where would you rate Gibson compared to Fields?

I think from just a numbers perspective, the Tigers did pretty well with getting their picks signed. I think percentage wise this might be a better than average year. Was some talk of Tyler Gibson signing per micro tweets.... anyone here anything on this front?
