The 2011 Adopt A Tiger Draft Extravaganza

Recommended Posts

I'd like to make my yearly, overly-tardy splash and take Gene LaMont

Thanks for all you've done with this Yooper!

Gene looked thinner today and from a distance, may have a little fur on his chin.....these are not recent photos.....

I saw no upper vapor exhaust from Lamont today, but I did not carry my long lens and seemed to be a small fire on the far side at times. At least they say "where there is Smoke..........."

Still a couple hundred minor leaguers up for adoption, just post your adoption choice here after reviewing post #1 of this thread.

Post #1 was updated today, to reflect transactions from the last few months.

Also it's been a tough year for adopted Tigers already - I see both Carrithers and Rainwater have been released recently.

If either of you want to pick another guy, please feel free to do so!

Ruffin with a perfect inning and his 1st save as a sea wolf
That's the spirit of supporting our AAT's.

Wow.. went in the archives to draft Heather Nabozny sincerely thinking she still wouldn't be taken.. oh well. I'll go with Scott Pickens.

Who is going to be the #1 pick now?

That's what I was going to ask...

I'm taking Purcey.

Now that he is mine, I am going to lock him in the basement.

We've had some past discussion about Brian's future AAT, post Granderson and Sizemore.

Best idea I've heard so far is to award him the #1 draft choice from the previous June (or the highest pick who signs).

Perhaps it is just me, but it kind of loses its meaning for me when his AAT the year he died and his favorite player are gone.

Would it be too weird to give him Granderson still. I know it is Adopt a Tiger, but Grandy still has a lot of love for Brian and we could just apply the "Always a Tiger" thing to this situation... just a thought?

I'd also like to be the first to point out I put a period in the question sentence and a question mark after the simple statement. I need to get to sleep I think.
