The 2011 Adopt A Tiger Draft Extravaganza

Recommended Posts

Best of the minor leaguers not yet picked (in my opinion)...

IF Javier Azcona*

IF Edgar Corcino*

IF Alexander Nunez

IF Hernan Perez*

P Ramon Lebron (my '10 AAT...hopefully his command improves this year)

P Jared Gayhart

P Jade Todd (if he can stay healthy)

Nice selection. 3 of those were on my list from the beginning.

Bullying his way to the end of the line, IdahoBert chooses

Mickey Lolich with #143. I was disappointed that I would

not be able to see 31-game winner Denny McLain, and would

have to settle for Mickey Lolich when my dad took me to the

5th game of the '68 World Series. Instead, I saw that dramatic

5-3 win and Jose Feliciano. Sometimes, life gives you what

you need instead of what you want. Thanks Mickey!

I came to this thread late.

Is Miguel Cabrera still on the board?

Only if the board is on the floor of the wagon.....(we hope)

Thanks again for all the cool pics. Must admit, I'm not the most computer savvy person, so posting the pics is a bit clumsy for me. I found a couple of funny pics while searching, including a parody of the "Knights Who Say Fu-Te Ni" and one of him dressed as Batgirl from his rookie hazing...

I'm going to get into the free for all early this time and leave the Dominican league behind for a year.

I'll take our new slugging 1B from AAA - Scott Thorman

My choice last season and one of my choices this year. Had a nice Conn. season.

I was expecting you to take him again this season....shocked he made it this far!

I've never repeated, but if Julio had gone, I would have been proud to adopt him again. I've done Tata, Ardoin and Rusch as pitchers and Strieby and Robbins as 1B

Looks like we are done with the draft except for the free-for-all...major props to Yoop for doing this! A ton of time and effort on his part, can't wait for this season to start and see how my AAT does!

Thanks again!

Ack!!

I dropped the ball and missed my turn! Sorry everybody. I hope this doesn't prevent me from participating in future drafts.

We'll let it slide if you adopt one of the minor leaguers still left unclaimed! Check post #1 of this thread for ideas

How in the WORLD did I forget all about this? and I had a pretty good draft position too.

Sorry everyone...

I'll select Alex Burgos

My sincerest apologies for not representing Brian or the Bluhms' for the draft when needed! Although it's easy for me to blame work for my incompetence, there are no excuses that I can give that would justify my not being here. Thank you all for allowing us to participate again!

None needed. You and Angela help our memories when we see you here. Always welcome.

I'd like to make my yearly, overly-tardy splash and take Gene LaMont

Thanks for all you've done with this Yooper!
