The 2011 Adopt A Tiger Draft Extravaganza

Recommended Posts

I am surprised that Julio made it that far. He was one I considered but could not resist capturing Nick
He was on everyone's back burner I think except for Micro. He did a nice write up on him on Tigstown Premium (a lot of that is changing people so you can access much of the "pay" content soon.)

I enjoyed watching Julio last summer in Connecticut.
I found some fine pictures of Julio on cttigerden.wordpress.com

Thanks. This is my favorite one:

For some reason Julio wore a Whitecaps helmet most of the season.

Ben Guez would wear an Oneonta.I imagine comfort or superstition. I wondered of those were yours.....Nice.

Bullying his way to the end of the line, IdahoBert chooses

Mickey Lolich with #143. I was disappointed that I would

not be able to see 31-game winner Denny McLain, and would

have to settle for Mickey Lolich when my dad took me to the

5th game of the '68 World Series. Instead, I saw that dramatic

5-3 win and Jose Feliciano. Sometimes, life gives you what

you need instead of what you want. Thanks Mickey!

Somebody wake Mickey up and tell him Bert is on the phone.

I really had planned to wait until almost cut off time to post my AAT. I'm glad I did not. This has been a lot of fun trying to find our guys in the "D". And of course it could go on all year. So challenge us, we've done pretty good.

Thanks for the pics of Mickey, Roger!
I'll be looking for him again Saturday. When that "sleeping" pic was taken he was much heavier and playing RF he was winded. The following year he only coached. Last year he looked good.

You can't believe the fan interaction that goes on at the FF games. If you are sitting low, you will get into a conversation with one of your heros. Saturday should dawn crystal clear with low 60's at game time. Parking lot full of BBQ pork outside. I mean the whole parking lot!

Can I hop in here with James Robbins, 1B?

Checking the first page, he still appears to be available.

My choice last season and one of my choices this year. Had a nice Conn. season.

Thank you for the pics of Fu-Te Ni, Roger. I can assure you they are far superior to any pics I would have dug up.

I must admit, it never entered my mind to grab one of my heroes - Mickey Lolich. An awesome guy who, in my opinion, deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Personally I think it would be more fun to follow a minor league prospect this season, instead of a doughnut shop owner, but there's no doubting that Mickey was a talented pitcher. The WS win in 1968 couldn't have happened without him, and he racked up strong career totals.

How has no one picked #99 Scott Pickens?

Bullpen catcher is a dream job of mine.

So overlooked. I know I have pics of Scotty but must be labeled withut his name. Last year I took several of Scotty, his wife and dog.

Best of the minor leaguers not yet picked (in my opinion)...

IF Javier Azcona

IF Edgar Corcino

IF Alexander Nunez

IF Hernan Perez

P Ramon Lebron (my '10 AAT...hopefully his command improves this year)

P Jared Gayhart

P Jade Todd (if he can stay healthy)
