Who's left? What's out there? Who's willing to trade?

I think Nolasco could be gotten without Turner or Porcello. If I had to give up one of them I wouldn't do it.

You wouldn't trade Porcello for Nolasco? Nolasco's peripherals are at levels that Porcello could only dream about, and their traditional stats are about the same. Seems like Nolasco would be a major improvement in potential, similar to getting another Scherzer.

As for Turner, I understand not making that deal, I would think seriously about it, but Porcello for Nolasco, hell yes.

Nolasco is a guy who, like Bondo or Vazquez, cannot pitch up to his peripherals for whatever reason. That's why I wouldn't give up Porcello.

Also... Nolasco's peripherals are as a 25-26-27 year old. No more upside than what he currently is.

Porcello's peripherals are as a 20 & 21 year old in MLB. IMO, Porcello has a significant amount of growing room, and a higher upside than Nolasco, if he reaches his potential. I'd rather give Rick that chance to grow here, in Detroit, than toss that away on a Nolasco.

And I don't dislike Nolasco either... I'd love to have him as our #3, and push Rick down the rotation one spot.

But if I'm giving up Porcello or Turner, it's not for Garza or Nolasco. It's as part of a package for an ace, or a premium position player.
