i liked Rooney's miracle recovery from his injury

Meh.

I like how Blackpool look like a pub team out there. A bunch of chubby balding white dudes playing against the most expensive team in the world.

Make a PK and West Brom gets a point. Even at home, that would've been enough to make me happy. Now, they are sneaking toward that relegation zone once again.

The last ten minutes of that match, they gave City all they could handle. I was quite chuffed on the effort, if not the result. They're gonna stick around for another year at least.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. the second half will be a big grind for a small club like Blackpool.

They're gonna have to fall through a bunch of other clubs to get to the relegation zone, and they'd have to try pretty hard to slip up and fall below three out of Fulham, Wigan, West Ham, Wolves and Birmingham City. Besides, I'm less worried about the grind for them since they're playing a 38 game season now versus 46 last year. I know it's not the same brand of football, but they're also facing seven teams playing extra games in Europe as well. I think it's gonna even out and at worst they'll stay alive in 17th for another year in the Premiership.

Good news for the Buddha:

I give all the teams that came up this year a lot of credit, they try to play on the deck and have proven you can actually get results as well, unlike WBA of two seasons ago for instance, who stuck to their principles but were badly exposed.

Blackpool have been a breath of fresh air and almost any neutral would love to see stay up at the expense of a team of cloggers like Stoke.

Ollie needs to reign in the outbursts though, he's becoming a caricature of himself.

Who needs the FIFA fair play rules? Not City! Give Dzeko for 30 million pounds and 100 thousand a week! ridiculous.

Probably closer to 200k/week imo :ponder:

edit: City is a joke but Dzeko will probably be really good for them. All that money might finally be paying off in the form of a top squad

Wasn't there a time Sirius covered all the EPL broadcasts? I remember when I was looking at satellite radio stations that it seemed to advertise full coverage. But it's possible they did something that is done now - about 4-5 games a week get covered, with one usually being tape delayed a couple of days later.

I remember getting XM because of the baseball ties with XM at the time. Today, I wish they'd get rid of some of those college stations (the only time I listen to them are the few times CMU plays one of those bigger schools) and add a few soccer-exclusive stations - do what they do now for the EPL for all the other leagues. If there were night games (even on a tape delayed basis), I'd keep the games on my radio even if I know the results. It's helpful with my learning process.

Geez West Brom,

You keep this up, relegation will be a strong possibility. Saw the first goal. Just a terrible goal, that I probably would've saved. Directly at the keeper just above his head and failed to secure the ball. I leave my desk for 15 minutes during the second half and it's 3-0 Fulham. I'm a bit afraid to look at the live table at this point.

You gotta love the parity in the BPL this campaign.

Only 7 points separates 8th place from the drop zone.

Chelsea has looked old, injury prone and lacking depth this season, but of all the young "talent" they have McEachren has easily been the most impressive to me. Looks better than Kakuta or Sturridge has

It paid off for Chelsea and it will pay off for City.

Chelsea bought a title, so will City.

YES YES YES!

Started the day in last, now just outside of the relegation zone. Beautiful. Watched the game with a Chelsea fan friend of mine, he left dejected and bitter. And what a game Hennessey had. I think I made the right choice picking Wolves. Never give up, play their hearts out.

Congrats FT,

I was watching the Arsenal-ManCity game and they kept updating it, and it just stayed at 1-0. Whenever I heard the score, there was a part of me thinking that I knew one person that was probably pretty pumped.

It looks like our teams may be battling each other to stay out of that relegation zone. It's amazing how balanced the league is this season. You have teams averaging close to a point a game and they are all in trouble of being relegated.

On the bright side, Hull City has been getting some good results lately. It looks like I won't have to worry about them getting relegated again.
