Wings-Sharks Series Schedule

Recommended Posts

Game 1, 9pm Thursday. Rest of series TBA. I think it's a safe bet that Game 2 will be Sunday.

Look, I don't think getting just 1 day off this early in the playoffs is that big of a deal. And the Wings were already in the Pacific Time Zone. If they wanted more time off, they should have won Sunday. But ...c'mon, Hawks-Canucks starts Saturday when they've both been done for awhile, but the Wings-Sharks must start early because of a building conflict. If you're stupid enough to schedule concerts for the Friday and Saturday, you should lose home ice advantage. You know almost a year in advance when the regular season ends. You know going into the season that your team is likely to be top 2 seed. So not hard to have guessed that you might need to host a playoff game on the Friday or Saturday.

That seems to be very amateurish behavior on the part of the Sharks. Oh well....it won't stop the Wings from beating the Sharks in 6!

1 day off? Come on now.

Any longer and the game 7 mojo might wear off.

1 day off is a joke. The other series should be starting tomorrow, not the Wings who just finished a series on Tuesday while both Chicage and Vancouver have been done since Sunday. Bettman can go to hell.

I read that we were pretty much stuck with Thursday/Sunday because they had issues with events already scheduled for the arena on Friday and Saturday and Chicago series couldn't start tomorrow because when they scheduled it they were worried about the Bulls playing tomorrow, but it turns out they lost last game so it doesn't matter anyway.

Honestly do the Wings care? With 2 days off would they have still went to San Jose last night or today? Or come home then go back?

I doubt it. A 3 games in 6 days road trip is no big deal this early in the playoffs, especially when the Wings aren't nursing any major injuries, or at least none that have been reported.

The only good thing to come of it is that the Wings can carry all the momentum from Tuesday into Thursday with no long layoff which as we have seen in previous years and other Detroit teams (Tigers in 06), has zapped anything they had going.

DVR man.... I was just talking to an old guy that was on Guadalcanal back then. He's 88 now and remembered things from back then like it was yesterday. I told him about the Pacific, but he didn't have HBO. I love talking to those dudes.

Sorry not trying to jack this thread.

nah, my wife records Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters so I can't record two things unless I watch one. She plays soccer on Sunday nights and I'm not watching them.

You don't have your own DVR? Come on man, my Wife has her own for the living room TV and I have my own for my computer room.

Wish that Sunday start was in the afternoon.

Have you seen the way the Wings play afternoon games?
