What's going on at Comerica Today 1/30/2010?

Recommended Posts

I thought I saw in the paper yesterday that fan could visit the stadium and pick out their seats for this this year. What is this like? Do they allow you in the stadium to look? Do you need money to enter and buy today? I thinking of heading up there today. Any advice would be great. Thanks

No you do not need money. Park in the Tiger garage and enter by the admin offices. There's no concessions or anything like that. Just ticket reps.

One thing to consider when picking out seats is your angle towards the stairs. People will be walking up and down them all game and they may block your view.

That's why those seats are available.

Just got back from Comerica. I didn't renew my tickets from last season (27 game package) because I just simply couldn't afford them. So the lady and I decided on a 15 game package in new seats. But we did have to pay in full for the seats, but I couldn't be happier with our new location. Got a set of aisle seats which is always a good choice. I'm excited for the 2010 season to start.

I'm a huge fan of the Pavilion section. Caught a HR ball there one game and many during batting practice. Just be sure to bring you hat and sunglasses for night games cause you'll be looking directly into the sun until the 4th inning!

I'm all too familiar with the pavilion seating. Was a 27 game Friday ticket holder for 3 years in 151. That sun can be absolutely brutal at times, but man, in the 1st 1/3 of the season, it's a blessing. Because when that sun goes down, it can get down right cold in left field.

Is that picture from today? I'm suprised by the complete lack of snow.

I too changed seats this year and I'm excited for my new seats. Right behind home plate, upper deck, second row.

For those who are curious about what the view looks like from a certain section (the pictures on the Tigers site suck) I found a nice resource:

Replace "329.jpg" with the section number you're interested in. The pictures are a few years old (the bullpen is still out in right!) but it's been very helpful for me.

Yes, the picture is from today... Around 10:15am I believe. It was BITTER cold this morning, but thankfully I was bundled up.

True on people walking up and down blocking your view. In Toronto - to help from the view getting blocked - they have ushers stationed at the top of the steps, and they keep people from walking down to their seats until the at-bat is over with.

The same is done in San Francisco and San Diego. I wish Comerica was the same way. We have aisle seats and the regulars understand baseball, but the one-timers who have no interest in the game can be a pain sometimes.

As I stated above in a previous post, I'm used to the sun in the pavilion sections. Had 151 for the 3 previous seasons.
