To date, Mark Sanchez has accomplished more than Matthew Stafford has, due to injuries and playing on a much better team.

When he has played however, Stafford has looked better than Sanchez has.

The only game Stafford's played this year that he's looked better than average is the Washington game...not surprisingly, the worst defensive team in the league. Last year, he put up a quarter of his positive stats in one game against the second worst defense in the league. It's absolutely amazing how you guys can turn 2 good games into "Stafford has looked better than Sanchez". It must be hard to drive with those grey and blue sunglasses on.

With 2 td throws and a rushing td stafford was outplaying sanchez in the jets game until he got hurt. He looked good in both games after missing the 5 games.

Sanchez is extremely streaky which is to be expected of a young quarterback. Nothing to see here. I really dislike the Jets team though. A whole lot of **** talking with very little to back it up. The Monday night matchup really highlighted that. The Jets, namely their head coach, were talking all kinds of crap and hyping themselves up while the Patriots said nothing and let their play do the talking. I guess that's why they're the model organization in the NFL.

I think the Jets are very overrated.

fail.

I don't know... I got a laugh out of that post.

Bottom line: I don't think there is anybody on this board who would take Sanchez's skill set over Stafford's. But Sanchez has clearly had the better career so far, no contest.

Can't argue with that, he starts every game...gotta be on the field to succeed.

In my opinion, Sanchez is answering this question tonight. Forget comparing him to Stafford, I don't think Shaun Hill looked that bad in any half this season, and I'm not sure that Stanton did either. For those who would argue that his presence on the field makes him a better qb than Stafford, I'd say that Stafford has never thrown an INT from the sideline. Sanchez is awful tonight, and whoever's behind him on the depth chart would give the Jets a better chance in the second half. Stafford has only hurt our team by not playing: Sanchez is hurting the Jets by playing.

So, Sanchez or Stanton? Who'd you rather have?

This thread needs to be locked, taken out back, shot, and buried in a shallow grave.

One thing is for certain: mark Sanchez hands the ball off much better than Matt Stafford. :)

Josh Freeman.

My wife's a Bucs fan, and I think she'd certainly agree with you. Freeman has been exceptional. But he wasn't able to outplay our backups this year.

That's because Stafford has to run all the way from the sideline to the RB in the middle of the field. It's tiring.

I still think Stafford is going to be a very good quarterback, possibly as early as next season. There's an awful lot to like about Josh Freeman though and he just put up a ridiculous season for such a young quarterback. I liked him coming out, but I thought he was a bit of project. He's been awesome.

I've never been much of a fan of Sanchez.

Then again, maybe I spoke too soon. :paranoid:
