I have a Galaxy S4, and I love it. But if the camera is your thing, check out the LG G2. My wife has that one and the photos are stunning. Much better than my S4. I thought I'd use my S4 camera more, but it feels like I use it about once a month.

This is how I do my LR stereo. The source for all the audio is a laptop plugged right into my amp. Over the years I have digitized all my tapes/LPs and ripped the CDs back to disc files. All in the laptop and a browser on the desktop pulls in the inet streaming radio - and the MLB audio for Tiger games....

This would work as well.

Thanks all.

Another audio options if you have WiFi would be to get a stereo receiver with an HDMI port and use a chrome cast. It would let you use any app with chromecast support and control everything with your phone as well. It just requires WiFi, an HDMI port and power (USB or ac). Could stream music thru your TV this way as well. Chromecasts run between 30 and 35 bucks and are well worth it, especially if you don't have a smart TV.

Any of the Nexus crowd make a run at Android L yet?

I'm waiting for a port to the galaxy nexus that I still have for such things.

Just saw this. Short answer is I don't really know, since I have been a little occupied with other things lately and don't have much interest in devices running forked software.

What are your guys thoughts on Android tablets? Looking for a 7-8" tablet and can't decide. I like the Nexus 7 but am turned off by the lack of no MicroSD. Also considered the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 and LG G Pad. I would like to use it as an e-book reader, music, and web browsing.

Honestly Android tablets suck. They're mostly blown up phone apps. I'd get a Nexus 7 though.

Ended up with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Long story but I ended up with $350 in credit at Amazon. Haven't received it yet but I plan to root it when I receive it.

anyone else have a Nexus 5? Just got one. Putting Cyanogenmod on it right now.

give us a review when you get some time, I've been eyeing that one for a lil while.... I think I'll prolly do the nexus when I get sick of my S4. I saw an article yesterday that said HTC could be making the Nexus 6.

I think the moto360 has me more excited for a new product than I've been for a long time.

The 360 is going to be the first nice thing that I buy myself once 3M starts paying me.

Anybody use T-Mobile? I read Verizon is going to start throttling high data users on unlimited plans so that may spell the end for me and Verizon. I don't leave the Detroit area all that often so rural coverage isn't that important anymore.

Its supposed to be out in "late summer."

I am writing my thesis and hoping to defend in early to mid September, and I'll start the Monday after that. Blowing myself up has delayed the process a little.

Rumor has it HTC may be taking over the Nexus line from LG. I hope they do and hope they make it metallic. I love my HTC M8 in design and performance and I think HTC could transplant a lot of the goodness of the M7 and M8 lineups over to a Nexus or L phone.

Let me preface this by saying that I used to work at T-Mobile and now work for Sprint. Two things, as a data-heavy user that I like about T-Mobile over team yellow. One, is that they don't count streaming music (off of certain apps) towards your data usage and two, their LTE rollout is occurring much smoother and at a much faster pace than Sprint's has. Our LTE network at Sprint is mostly up and running around metro Detroit, but we got our butts whipped considering in just under a year, T-Mobile went from zero LTE anywhere to LTE nationwide. That was something Sprint couldn't do in three years.

That said, with Sprint's new Framily plan, if you're only moving over one line of service, you can get unlimited everything (talk + text + un-throttled data) and a new smartphone non-contract for as little as $45 + taxes if you bring your own smartphone. It's roughly $72 + taxes if you buy a phone and finance it, interest free, through Sprint; $72 gets you a higher end smartphone like a Galaxy S5, iPhone 5s, LG G3 or HTC M8. Sprint beats T-Mobile on price with the Framily plan. Actual coverage will be moot once we fully finish our LTE roll-out around town.

I have only heard of them getting a nexus tablet. The latest nexus rumor that I have heard has moto making a nexus phone. That's nerdgasm territory there.

I don't know what to expect from Motorola anymore since they were taken over by Lenovo. I have this eerie feeling they'll turn into a junk brand ala Kyocera phones, which are almost complete boomerangs. A boomerang btw means that we sell a customer a phone and it gets returned right back to us because it really stinks!
