Erie SeaWolves outfielder Brennan Boesch is the Eastern League's player of the week.

Boesch is Erie's third straight honoree. Third baseman Santo De Leon was the most recent EL player of the week and first baseman Ryan Strieby was honored July 13.

During the seven-day period ending Sunday, Boesch hit .407 with four home runs and eight total extra-base hits, drove in 10 runs and scored nine, and extended his hitting streak to 13 games.

Boesch, 24, is a native of Santa Monica, Calif. The 6-foot 6-inch, 210-pounder leads the EL with 21 home runs, seven triples and 197 total bases.

Boesch was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the third round of the 2006 draft after his junior season at the University of California.
