It looks like Ozzy is gonna have to steal this one. If I didn't know they were in Detroit, I'd swear they were playing in Pittsburgh right now.

0-0 after 1. Frantic final minute. Kronwall with the big stop. 8-6 Pens in shots. Pittsburgh has to be satisfied with what they accomplished in that period.

EDIT: CBC says was 10-6 Pittsburgh in shots.

Anyone else think that Hossa is trying to do to much on his own?

Hes been doing that the entire playoffs.

OMG they arent doing a Crosby piece in the first intermission?

/faint.

Yes.

Yes, Hossa doesn't need to go 1 on 4, when as NBC pointed out simply stopping in front of the net for a rebound is a higher percentage play.

I really don't want this game to come down to the final 5 minutes tied. The words "STUART GIVEAWAY STUART GIVEWAY" keep flashing into my head like a premonition even when I'm trying to relax.

Pens twice looked like they were on the power play when at even strength.

Rick Porcello with two RBI singles so far. Tigers still lead 2-1.

Tigers have 10 hits...Polly has 4, Porcello has 2...

My mom called me (she only watches hockey when the Wings are in the Finals.) Asked if the announcers are always this bad?

Ahhhh. Extremely nerve-wracking.

I was SO sure Pittsburgh was going to score on that power play.. very relieved they didn't, but we do seem to be getting outplayed a little bit.

We had our chances too, though. Hopefully they find the net.

The one thing I've been wondering for the past 2 games....what the hell is up with Rafalski???

This is not the experienced Brian I expect in these situations. He's getting beat way too often and not completing passes. Anyone else noticing how often this is happening with him?

Yes! He seems to have trouble with the puck quite frequently. Either making bad passes or just having trouble with normal stickhandling.
