I sure do not. I do have a blue Ibanez.

I was going to post a pic of Benson and ask if  you played it like he did, because I thought I had seen a Benson playing a blue guitar once and for some reason remembered he played an Ibanez (I'm not a guitar person), but when I did find a pic of George with a blue guitar, it was the only one in which he was not playing an Ibanez....(?!)

I really don't play it often, except when I want to get an 80's Queensryche sort of vibe. They do have a very warm and unique clean sound, not as twangy as a strat or tele. It's a very dated sound though, IMO.

Two very different Ibanez guitars we're talking about here.

You mean he wasn't shredding on some 8-string baritone RG series back in the 70s?

The best part, a few posts lower someone was selling a full stack JCM900 for < 1000, so for 2 cabs and a classic head, it's less than that jabroni's empty cab.   WTF

Just gonna leave this right here. This guy's channel is great, btw. Not the guy doing the restoration. Stick around for the sweet demo at the end.

I love Brad! I love watching him rewire an amp even though I have no idea what he is talking about most of the time. He's a pretty good player too.

The theory on this video is that these were all left behind when Gibson vacated the Memphis location and the guy who demo'd the building decided to destroy the most hated Gibson models in history.

I agree with the comments that state that these 300+ guitars could have been donated to music classes or even used for electronic students to learn on. Seems an awful waste; especially considering the really nice maple that the necks were made of.

Gibson issued a statement that they couldn't donate them because of electronics issues. I call BS. They could have traded out the pots and removed the fancy electronics and it would have been a tax write off.

On the other end, the remaining guitars will go up in value.

niiiiiiiiiice!

I'm probably gonna feel dumb once I get the answer, but... Don?

if I had that one, I'd probably call it Alex or Gordie under your naming scheme, but that's just me. (Alex Lifeson gave his similar EDS-1275 to Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar.)
