Partial? Nah... I just don't like entitlement programs, and don't believe FDR got us out of the depression.

A question for the Reagan fans? Are you mainly voting for what he stood for and said, what he accomplished or the results of his polices?

Ya, it was kinda tough but it's a pretty nasty list. I love Reagan's Goldwater talk but he didn't walk the walk. I get the impression that Eisenhower and Kennedy were the only two that had a conscious about being slaves to the financial oligarchy. I admire Eisenhower for warning about the military-industrial complex and

speech by Kennedy is one of the better I've ever heard.

All.

I do believe that his policies set in motion the economic boom of the 1990s that Clinton tried to take credit for. National economies are huge and complex things that don't move immediately upon someone taking office.

The national debt only increased during the Reagan and Bush years.

What part of "set in motion" is too complex for you?

What policies "set in motion" the economic boom? Why didn't these take affect during the Bush I administration either?

This was all before you were born. Some of us lived in it. He loosened the constraints government placed on business which allowed new businesses to flourish and established businesses to grow, with increased tax revenues to follow. The effect of such change doesn't happen overnight, it takes years to unfold. Reactionary economics is not a sustainable thing.
