4-3 after 2. Wings killed off a PK for final 2 minutes, were giving up way too much room in the crease during it. Still a lead heading into the 3rd, so they just need a firm talking to by Babcock, give their heads a shake, and come out and close the deal.

I was not going to say beat down after the first period as I said it at halftime of the Pistons/76er halftime, first game..but that 2nd period started turning ugly..Wings better come out and dominate!!!

Announcers said that this is the first Wings-Avs playoff game without Patrick Roy, but that Detroit has used 4 goalies in the 6 series. Maybe I'm just spacing out, but I'm stuck at 3 ... Vernon, Osgood, Hasek. Legace was around in 2000, but only started a few regular season games and don't remember him in the playoffs. Cujo came later.

I believe it may have been Ranford, Rayford ... something like that..

Yeah, you're probably right, I checked and Bill Ranford played 4 games in the '99 playoffs. I think he was a trade deadline pick-up that year, as was Chelios.

Does anyone know the rule on face-off kick outs? Why was Drapes just kicked off the face-off?

Wow. A great chance there for the Wings, and they earn themselves a powerplay.

He put his stick down before the puck was dropped.

The faceoff goes like this:

Lineman says "no more changes".

Home team has one more change.

Linesman gets the puck.

Opposing team puts their stick down first.

Home team has to wait until the puck is dropped.

If anyone from any team trys to get an unfair advantage on the faceoff, their faceoff participant gets tossed.

Well, here are final four minutes of game. Wings by one. This is the "devil's triangle" "twilight zone" time for the DRW.

OK, thanks I was sure about all of the criteria. But I do now.

AVs been pinching and putting a ton of pressure on the WING D ... dangerous time right now. AVs will certainly pull Budja soon and the pressure will really be on the WINGS.

What the HEELLL was Rafalski doing leaving the front of the net wide open???

Raffie's been making some bone head plays lately ..... uncharacteristic.
