Hannahan Hits First Career Homer

Recommended Posts

Tonight he went 2-4 with a three-run shot against Toronto. Congratulations to Jack.

His average now sits at .227 with the A's with 5 RBI.

I really wish we had given him more of a chance. Between Guillens defense at SS and Inge's lack of a bat at third, we could have found some ABs for him.

.227

Are you saying that this number has any significance at all? How many ABs are we talking about? 10? 20?

Having said that, based on his minor-league career I don't lament the loss of Hannahan - unless he can play plus defense at SS, which I don't think he can.

Hannahan=Textbook AAAA player

That's a poorly written textbook, then. The guy had 10 ML at-bats before the Tigers got rid of him. Hardly enough to conclude he's a "textbook AAAA player."

However, with Raburn establishing himself and Infante still available, I don't think there was much room for Hannahan.
